Will reward you after clearing the initial (unforgiving) learning curve. I came to this game expecting an updated Mudrunner, with some Snowrunner sprinkled in. I also wasn't really expecting to enjoy it that much as scouting was my least favourite aspect of SR. So I bounced off it hard. Too difficult, confusing UI, constant falling over. Then a year later, I decide to approach it again. Then it clicked. It is, IMHO, easily as entertaining as SR. It's certainly more focused on pure off-roading and exploration. If this game didn't click for you, I encourage you to give it another chance. It rewards patience and planning but the rewards are there.
I got this game when I got Roadcraft on release in complet and I can say I was idiot i did not got this game earlier. Roadcraft is great game but I can say this game is great also with different twich of exploring different areas where you can explore new areas and of course construct construct different areas.... I just am angry that now I got Expeditions and Roadcraft to play at once....

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. Expeditions: A Mudrunner Game -------------------------------------- Got stuck in mud within 3 minutes. 10/10, very realistic. The trucks feel beefy, the mud feels personal, and the maps are still fanastic to explore. Played with friends, instantly became a rolling comedy show of towing, flipping, and poor life choices. Solo is fun, but multiplayer is where the chaos truly shines. Every “shortcut” is actually a trap, but a very entertaining one. Great missions, great vibes, great mud. If you enjoy laughing at your own bad decisions, this is the game for you. Enjoy the game
this game got done dirty IMO, and now its dead. saber did their last content update on this game and it made me sad enough to write a review. here is the TLDR: I would get the year one edition on sale if you can. if you like offroading for the sake of offroading, this game has quite a lot to offer you. if you like big missions that involve a lot of logistics, this game isn't going to scratch that itch. If you like that, you should try snowrunner or roadcraft instead. No, its not snowrunner again, which seems to be all that people really want out of Saber. And yes the missions feel a bit silly from time to time. There is a lot of "drive to this point for misc. task X" and you dont end up having a big impact on the map like you do in many snowrunner maps. Snowrunner though, in spite of what people will say about it, can also be a buggy mess. the game with throw a physics tantrum, or make you restart an entire multi-stage potentially hours long mission because you dared to go do something else. these problems never Happened to me in Expeditions. Snowrunner will almost literally 100 to 0 a trucks suspension because you hit an invisible tree limb that was under a road while you were in high gear. Expeditions damn near encourages you to go over light terrain at speed. This feels more realistic to me. these vehicles - yes even the small ones - are more capable than people realize. sand or packed dirt shouldn't bring your vehicle to a crawl. the equipment system was this games big addition. A lot of people didn't really seem to like this, because it often times feels unnecessary. you can put a truck into low and crawl it into and out of many situations like you would in snowrunner. I would argue that this is missing the point. You can literally scale down (and then back up) a mountain using the anchors to create your own winch points. you can often times use this to skip big chunks of the map to get to objectives easier. The screw-jack is maybe a bit of an odd one, as all its lets you do is put a vehicle back onto its tires, and this seems like its there to save you from a mistake. It technically is, but knowing that you have two or more free oopsies lets you drive a bit more aggressive or take more treacherous routes with confidence. For me, this best new thing is the binoculars and drone, they let you scout around. instead of finding a big dumb tower or pulling a trailer that houses a radar unit, you can now simply find a big ass hill and look around. Like I said, i think this game got done dirty. the launch was bad, But through a year of tweaks and patches and new content, it really came into its own for me. the actual driving feels better than snowrunner IMO, and the manual gearbox feels great to use. my one real complaint is that some of the DLC vehicles feel straight up overpowered. the Ford pack especially is downright insane.
owned this game for more than a year now played 4.8 hours not fun compared to snow runner you have to download cheats to have fun which no one wants to do I havent played this game for a 5 months now because it just not fun the last time i played this the amount of bugs there were made it unplayable
I picked this game up a fair bit after it had released. I've played a bit of OG mudrunner with my brother some time ago, and it was pretty decent. I really enjoyed the offroad aspect of it, but didn't really find the slog of dragging heavy things through mud at 0.5 MPH very enjoyable. I've come to really appreciate this game because of that. I'll say, the start was pretty rough. The physics for smaller vehicles is super jank and pretty frustrating at times, especially with the default scouting vehicle. I finally got enough money to replace the first scout with a nicer one, and suddenly the game is far more enjoyable.
Lacks the ability to switch back to previous map where you left your other truck. Unless you want to drag your other truck with you, that is silly. Feature incomplete.
