This is a very challenging game, it makes you plan ahead and bring trucks and needed supplies with you. I completed the first map and got a good idea of whats to come with it. The gadgets are all very cool would love to see the drone and placeable winch points added to snowrunner or snowrunner 2? Definitly enjoying this so far

A lot of reviews are comparing this to Mudrunner or Snowrunner (rightfully so as it's in the title). So I'll give my take. I never got into Mudrunner. The concept of driving through this deformable muddy terrain was awesome. The concept of hauling lumber around? Extremely boring and tedious. But I think Expeditions really manages to deliver on an interesting objective which I was missing in the previous games. The game has that Foddian feel when you're slipping on rocks falling down a cliff. But they're nice enough to give you these less hardcore sim but more gamified items to help you get upright for example. But whether you bring those along is a choice. A risk between having to live with reduced profits or potentially a full mission restart halfway through a mission. For me it's a really captivating loop and I've already sunk a bunch of hours into the game in a week...
