For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away.
Force Feedback Sci-Fi Rally Sim
with a beautiful and easy to understand world, but difficult racing.
Exo
Exo One is an amazing indie game. It's been in my library for a long time and this rally sim takes the engine and beauty (and name) from that game, and creates an entire new universe. Buy the pack of both games.
Force Feedback
I'm new to sim racing but have put hundreds of hours into games like Assetto Corsa and Le Mans Ultimate. I'm pleased with the force feedback but it's not amazing. You feel exactly what your tires are doing, the weight of the car shifting on the springs and dampeners (tons of vehicle tuning options), and when you clip a rock going 130. There is a lack of texture, but I didn't have high expectations of the tire feel compared to more realistic sims like LMU. I can't compare to realistic rally sims, I imagine the detail of dirt, gravel, mud is far more realistic.
Rally
Racing is solo and you compete against bot's times in the campaign. It's much more of a game than a simulator during the campaign with a bit of character voice acting. You start with 3 beautiful planets and 1 car. You'll unlock the moon and another planet, as well as 3 more cars just by trying and placing last in the campaign. Each planetary body has it's own environmental challenges which gives the entire game the feel of "rainy" races. Grip is difficult to find, and the E-brake is your best friend for turning.
Drones
There is an extremely clever mechanic for races, that allows you to scout the course from a drone before racing. You have several tools to draw your own lines, mark green safe points, red danger points. You have limited time before the race to plan. This makes a great experience of being able to use as many or as little aids as you like, such as a racing line. Or, if you just want to mark a tree that's hidden by steam an ancient New Earth industrial vent or volcano.
Tuning
The devs put a lot of thought into the vehicle tuning system. It appears they created tuning options as they were building the cars. Each suspension arm, spring, dampener, anti-roll bar, has way more options than you would ever needs. Ride height, brake bias, areo downforce, suspension strength is all very customizable as well. Several tire options are available. Slicks, off-road, and paddle with additional compound options.
RCS
Reaction Control System is a system of gas jets around your car for mid-air control. It's the biggest mechanic unique to this game, and is the only thing that will be new to most people, but extremely simple to understand. Use is balanced around fuel and temperature limits. It's a fun, gorgeous, indie sci-fi rally sim built from one of my favorite games. Some sound adjustments and possibly some tuning to grip physics could improve it significantly.
Hell no!
If you restart on the moon stage, your handbrakes won't work at the start line, so you get an unavoidable 15 second penalty when you roll away after the system check.
Very exciting, extremely difficult. f*ck Bennet - distracts me leading to a crash all the time. Looks great, good graphics, exo-planets look alien but grounded enough too. No rover cosmetic customization, too much of a noob to comment on tuning. Exploit the pre-race drone recon, shortest route is often slower and more dangerous. Pedal to the metal is not meta, gotta slow down hard at times. Full RCS thrusters (mid-air adjustments) get unlocked by the 2nd rover, Distance-style - rotating, lifting, sucking. Nice ambient music in the garage, no race music. Ugly woman, f*ck Bennet again.
I bought it after playing Exo One thinking it would be basically the same, just with a racing coat of paint on top. But I was blown away with Exo Rally. Granted, this is the first rally game I've played, but I found it to be pretty solid. The handling feels good, the difficulty curve isn't too steep for a casual player like me (be sure to adjust the difficulty), and the visuals and landscapes are top notch, as expected from the Exo One developers. Another thing that surprised me in a good way is the overall 'vibe' of the game. The music, the characters, the gritty smirk underlying it all. I honestly think this would be a great inspiration for a movie or series. Maybe just an AI-trailer. For drawbacks, I would point out it takes a while for the controls to 'click' and, until they do, driving can be frustrating. Also, after finishing the championship, part of me wishes there was some more meta-game like dealing with sponsors, resources, rover customization, or silly things like that. It would make the game feel 'deeper'. Regardless, I would say to the devs what Benett tells me at the end of a race: "Good job out there!"
It's actually excellent. If you are a bit of a science-fiction nerd, and also happen to enjoy a bit of rally simulation, this is well worth a look. Agree with a previous review that said more like Dakar-rally than "regular"-rally but it's actually awesome. Not without its flaws though, but they are REALLY minor.. I guess my biggest issue is that I would like more and more content. This is EXCELLENT
相比其他赛车游戏,这游戏真是短小精悍,不大的体量很大程度上还原了拉力赛的玩法,同时还加入了喷气控制车身的创新,同时又融合了科幻题材,真的是很有创意,玩起来很有感觉
