Very good game, it reminded me of Metroid, I hope for a sequel or a similar game from this masterpiece creator!
Little rough around the edges but cool MV game! A love letter to Metroid with all the mechanics you're familiar with. The crouch definitely could feel better. I appreciated seeing the developer's skill and confidence grow as I discovered new areas; the endgame area was very different to the start. I liked how the beams upgraded throughout but I struggled to know which colour to use in some boss fights. I would have liked the bosses more spread out, I beat one near the start and 3 in the last half hour with none in the middle. Ex Vitro's free so pick it up if you want a short metroidvania you can finish in a sitting or two

Surprisingly good game. I never played any Metroid game despite have finished over 40 Metroidvania game so this is my first experience of a Metroid game. Story is actually very engaging with a serious survival horror edge to it. Play pretty straight forward, you have to find new weapon, color coded for your convenience, to open new area and somehow stumble yourself into the WHATTHEHELLISTHAT ghost area and the final boss are actually quite disturbing looking. Game is short though, around 3-5 hours depend on how good you are and how cautious you are in exploring new area. The major weak point of the game is that it's too easy. Your character have a lots of health and can tank through pretty much anything in the game. It's like the opposite of a punishing soulvania game like Hollow Knight. For a free game, it's pretty damn good and very worth it to play if you're a Metroidvania enjoyer, especially the Metroid side.
This was a really nice metroidvania experience! I cleared it in a single sitting, getting 100% on items and map completion. Movement felt pretty good, progression upgrades were handed out at a nice pace, hidden items were indicated reasonably on the minimap, and I liked the setting. Not perfect, mind: I think some hidden items' locations were not amazing (mostly due to it being difficult to feel your way through gaps in terrain) and a couple of late game item interactions were not totally intuitive (the
XMP Charge shot outright destroys blocks that fall if you stand on them and switch doors,
but as far as I can tell, this isn't shown, described, or hinted at in-game). With that said, I would call these mostly minor gripes in an otherwise pleasing take on the vibe of Super Metroid. I know the dev future projects planned, and I'm eager to see what they come up with!
Like the other reviews say, it's ~2 hours to beat, it's nothing you haven't seen in Super Metroid, and there's a bit of jank to it, but it's free and it's solid. I've definitely paid $10 for worse, and I'm excited to hear the dev is still at it.
I love this game so much, I picked it up like a year ago or smtg like that, and I have beaten it I believe two, or three times, and now I want to do it again. Honestly this is a 9 out of 10 game, its a bit hard to understand and learn for the first time imo
ALTA QUALIDADE
To the devs a gotta say thanks you, i loved the game and i am hoping to see more games by yourselves, thanks you.
Way more interesting than some paid metroidvanias, this game is done by someone who has a DEEP appreciation for Super Metroid (like me). It's not perfect, absolutely, but it's very fun to play and rewarding: PROS: - Short duration (for a Metroidvania, for me, it's a plus) - Good rewards - Nice biomes - Ok Graphics - Fun and good exploration - Free to play CONS - Controls not very really reliable - Needs a bit more "indirect storytelling" - A bit too easy
