EVE Online

I've aged out of PVP, it's for younger players so I quit playing Eve a long, long time ago. I've recently tried it again and they have a new PVE starter experience and area to play in, completely different than it used to be and I'm enjoying the heck out of it. I don't know how long my PVE area is going to last before I am pushed out into the PVP world but it's still a lot of fun.

I don't know how many hours I've logged off-Steam but it was many years ago, I came back for the Cradle of War update, ironically abandoning my previous stealth bomber character, and pumping Omega and skill boosts into a Space Trucker. The best way I can describe EVE is that it's a spreadsheet simulator with explosions, scammers and political intrigue on top. It's the closest thing to a modern day Pirate era, but in a future space theme. Best yet it still has a solid international population of 18-22k people at any hour of the day. Sometimes it's just nice to exist in a "living and breathing" world. Witnessing the conflict around you is the part that makes the experience feel more real.
