not bad, imagine diablo 1 ported to a phone... and then ported to pc for whatever reason... you'll get hit with microtransactions, but hey, game gotta earn to survive but then you'll go fight mobs and find chest that is asking you for ingame currency in order to open... i wish there was a "neutral", gonna go with positive as people might actually like it
No complaints about the mechanics of the game but it is a pay to win. Found a chest, pay with the rubies if you want what is inside. Upgrade your spells? It will cost you rubies & gold for each upgrade. For $5.00 you can buy this awesome sword limited time. Go to our store and for $$$$ you can 500 rubies or gold. Not the game I am looking for.

It's a neat little RPG, but there's just not enough to it. It started as a mobile game, and its better that way, because the coolest thing about it is being able to draw shapes to attack. Other than that, there's just nothing special about it, and it's not a long game at all.

Eternium demonstrates that a game does not need an enormous budget or cutting-edge visuals to capture the essence of a great action RPG. Developed by Dream Primer and Making Fun, and published by Making Fun, this long-running title delivers a familiar yet enjoyable adventure built around monster slaying, character progression, and an endless pursuit of better loot. It embraces many of the conventions established by legendary dungeon crawlers while introducing enough of its own personality to remain memorable. From the moment players choose between the Warrior, Mage, and Bounty Hunter classes, Eternium establishes itself as a game that values accessibility and straightforward fun above all else. The world of Eternium spans a surprisingly broad collection of locations that keeps the campaign moving at a satisfying pace. Players travel through ancient ruins, haunted graveyards, frozen wastelands, bustling settlements, and demonic strongholds, with the adventure eventually venturing beyond traditional fantasy settings into more unexpected territories. The inclusion of lunar and Martian landscapes adds an unusual science fiction twist that helps distinguish the game from many of its competitors. While the environments are not the most technically impressive on the market, they are varied enough to maintain a sense of discovery throughout the campaign and provide a fitting backdrop for the constant battles that define the experience. Combat remains Eternium's strongest feature. Every class offers a distinct approach to dealing with enemies, whether it is the Warrior charging headfirst into danger, the Mage unleashing devastating magical attacks, or the Bounty Hunter relying on speed and ranged weaponry. Encounters are fast and satisfying, with enemies exploding into showers of gold and equipment at a steady pace. The game's extensive skill system gives players plenty of opportunities to customize their heroes, and companions provide additional support that can significantly influence combat strategies. As players progress, the combination of abilities, equipment bonuses, and tactical decisions adds welcome depth beneath the game's approachable surface. Loot plays an equally important role in maintaining player engagement. Eternium understands the appeal of rewarding players frequently, ensuring that nearly every dungeon run results in new equipment, crafting materials, or valuable currency. Finding a rare weapon or completing a powerful armor set remains one of the game's most satisfying moments. Crafting systems further encourage experimentation, allowing players to refine builds and pursue increasingly challenging content. Despite being free-to-play, Eternium handles monetization more gracefully than many games in the genre, offering a substantial amount of content without creating a constant sense of obligation to spend money. Another aspect that deserves praise is the game's philosophy. Eternium feels like a project made by developers who genuinely appreciate classic action RPGs. There is a clear focus on preserving the addictive gameplay loop that has defined the genre for decades: explore, defeat enemies, collect treasure, improve your character, and repeat. This simplicity works in the game's favor, making it easy to pick up while still offering enough progression systems to keep dedicated players invested over dozens of hours. Seasonal content, endgame challenges, and ongoing updates have also helped maintain a loyal community years after its release. Of course, Eternium is not without limitations. Some character models and animations reflect its origins as a mobile title, and certain enemy encounters become repetitive over extended play sessions. Players accustomed to large-scale RPG productions may also find the storytelling and presentation relatively modest. Nevertheless, these shortcomings are overshadowed by the strength of the core gameplay. Eternium consistently succeeds at delivering satisfying combat and meaningful progression, which are arguably the two most important elements of any action RPG. In the end, Eternium stands as an impressive example of how to modernize classic hack-and-slash design without sacrificing its roots. It offers an expansive adventure filled with diverse locations, engaging class mechanics, and an abundance of loot that keeps players coming back for more. While it may not compete directly with the genre's biggest names in terms of production values, it excels at providing an entertaining and accessible experience that respects players' time and investment. For fans of dungeon crawlers looking for a free and content-rich journey, Eternium remains one of the better options available on Steam. Rating: 7/10
