Reviews
"Eternity" surprised me in many different ways. It is a fast, rewarding and fun action-adventure with fixed camera and a graphic design that reminds me of a Playstation 2 game in the most positive ways. Might it be wanted or not: The overall feeling of playing a retro adventure gives me a level of enjoyment that drags my mind into the game, forgetting all real-life around me. What comes to the more past-oriented gameplay is the presentation of the story, being told in no-voice, plain and short text elements, telling me all that I need to continie my adventure. During the game, you run as either an elven warrior or a viking warrior (you can only select them at the end, and its only a pseudo-option, because you need one or the other in certain situations), both with two weapons to chose from. There's no character customization, but levelling up is highly rewarding because you grow stronger. Levelling up the weapons on the other hand is a hard thing to do, because the components for crafting are extremely rare. Be aware that you'll visit the same locations over and over again to find that one door that opened through a story event. But - and I don't know why at all - all those re-visits are enjoyable as hell! As is the whole game, that was a nice, refreshing experience!
