controls are so weird and i got softlocked and had to completely restart my game twice in 15 minutes. im not sure if i missed something for the controls but most of my time was spent spamming keys trying to figure out what does what
It's a shame that this game's controls are so clunky, because the vibes are so good. I've tried to play this game multiple times to see if I was just missing something, but no- it's just really *that* hard to control. I couldn't get past the """"tutorial"""" area for the life of me. The controls need a COMPLETE OVERHAUL.

This game is very unique and I have been anticipating to play this for quite some time. It is truly for people with a niche video game taste or for people looking for a new experience. I cant emphasize this enough, but it is very different from usual games. Going into this without knowing much about it was a good decision. The story is very unique along with the style. The mechanics and flow is different from what I've seen in other games. Overall this is a great game so far 100/10.
Probably one of the greatest games I have ever played in my life. I am not kidding, easily makes it in my top 100 games. I have never seen a game quite like this and I don't think I ever will again. At the moment I post this the game is still early access but when this game is fully done, I will be immeasurably happy. Thank you USERLANDS
couldn't find my way out of the first area did the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ floaty hello neighbor parkour puzzle and got through a door that sent me right back into the triangle button room with zero new intel on what to do even with my enhanced movement tech knowledge there was nowhere i could reach also the main text is ok but there needs to be a secondary text for small paragraphs because i cannot read the options and stuff at all
It is definitely a super early access game, with bugs and unfinished levels and no ending, so if you dont like not having a complete game dont play it and buy it at full release, otherwise i definitely recommend. It has a ton of content too enjoy before the 1.0 release and a lot of challenges that are definitely late game oriented requiring you to level up a decent bit. and if you do feel lost the community has a several guides you can look at to figure out where to go and some youtube videos of peoples play throughs. theres definitely a lot of loose ends that im looking forward to completing once the game is fully released I keep seeing reviews saying that the the movement is difficult to use and very much unintuitive. and to that i say, play the game for more then 30 minutes and open the pause menu because all the controls are explained in there.(minus the F key it lets you stop mid air and spoiler:
is how you use the bubble band
) BUT it is definitely one of the most fluid and fun movement mechanics ive ever used and had the joy to play with. Once you get the muscle memory down it is genuinely so fun to glide across the maps and explore and trying to figure out how to get into all the nooks in every level. speaking of levels. level wise i will say there are about 4.5ish levels out of the 11.5 levels and 4ish minilevels that feel basically completely (including the tutorial world) and the rest are work in progress. some HEAVILY MORE than others, but theres still a ton to explore and do in both the completed and psuedo unfinished levels. some of the worlds are a bit barren and others have a ton to do. If you rush everything and just try to find all the worlds you are going to have 0 fun as youre just missing out on a lot of the content which is about exploring each world and completing all the quests and getting collectibles. and theres no ending yet so theres no need to rush and also some of the worlds do require you to level up decent bit before you can fully complete them. dont buy if youre expecting a very polished early access with like 75% of the main quest done. overall heavy recommend if youre fine with buying incomplete games. it reminds me a lot of twilight princess and earlier zelda games and Banjo Kazooie Bugs for the developer:
1. after defeating the pot hydra boss in upper frogton i lost the SFX for frogton and orb hollow all other audio worksed just SFX stopped, but as soon as i left to other worlds the SFX turned back on. It turned back on for the E.D.E.N. Mech boss fight but after i left the world and returned SFX were off again 2. in realm of greedy frogs idk if it was intentional but after activating the button next to the chained frog the draw bridges goes the opposite direction and goes away from the center castle instead of going towards it. 3. the death barrier isnt big enough in castle bogplex and you can fall endlessly. specifically on the other side of the broken bridge 4. in upper frogton the pond that has the pipe draining green liquid doesnt have water collision and the pipe also doesnt have collision 5. when in the overworld and using the orbtek mech and flying to a level, after either entering the level then exiting or using one of the alters and teleporting to a different alter in the overworld, the player gets placed in a completely dfifferent position from where the original level was or where they teleported to and normally its over the void. <--- this only happened occasionally and didnt happen every time. 6. in the serpent glades the npc in the house on stilts doersnt functional properly even after making the fire there are other minor bugs but im pretty sure theyre common ones and people have told you. FINALLY AMAZING GAME AND I CANT WAIT FOR THE FULL VERSION
this game is like a lost N64 game that would have been a smash hit if it came out. it have great movement, visuals and sound to it, my only complaint is that it a little aimless in what you are suppose but other then that this game is heading towards greatness.
Movement is really fun once you start to get used to it. Some parts of the game aren't super clear (especially the beginning); but I imagine this will improve as it gets updated. I can't help but love the really strange setting.
Even though it's just in early access, there are still hours of gameplay to be had with this game. The movement is very satisfying and the collectibles are fun to hunt down. Great game, definitely buy it.
