idk i was high as hell and the intro scared me and i had to refund it but i bet it was a good game
controls are insane, but this is the only game that truly lets you bounce on it crazy style
Yeah yeah yeah, genuinely nice graphics and levels. Is it worth playing? No, it's impossible to play. Whatever it was at release - that's exactly what it still is. The whole gimmick of the game which is its unique audiovisual experience was COMPLETELY ruined by the controls alone. Another product that's better enjoyed as a YouTube longplay video than actually played yourself and suffered through the clunkiness.

So far in this game, it has felt tedious. For $20 you get an openish world platformer that tries to have soulslike elements but fails. Past the first level, the words become far too massive for their own good, and terrain is very buggy currently. The combat is clunky and very slow on some enemies, and there are no checkpoints in the middle of levels, only one at the start. There is no way to heal yourself, you can only heal at the checkpoints at the start of levels. Everything in this game tries to be as vague as possible while trying to act like it has any form of meaning. The collection aspect and npc quests become overly tedious to do since the worlds become so big, but so empty. SO a lot of time is just spent travelling and searching random places. The bossfights are really easy so far, but they drag out for so long that they become "challenging", when in reality you can easily dodge every attack, but figuring out how to attack them is the real challenge, since its not made very clear what to do, or how the game itself works makes it difficult. Not a test of skill mind you, a test of just sheer ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Pray that your attack will hit and you eventually win if you dont clip through the floor. Also the megaman x7 way of collapsing to the floor when you get hit hard is so fun, since you can get comboed and not be able to get back health. I wouldnt be this harsh on an early access game if it wasnt about to be out of early access, and it wasnt TWENTY DOLLARS. This game has really fun movement and controls, but it is shooting itself in the foot by trying to be elden ring on lsd and donkey kong country at the same time. Most of the combat can be skipped, and that is encouraged most of the time due to the bad combat. You dont even need anything out of most non-boss encounters, since you can get the energy you need from pots. Its also just hard to see if you are damaging the enemy or if you got damaged. The art direction, movement, and music are what make this game fun, other than the wall run, its fine going up and down, but side to side its awful, and its hard to figure out the button combo on your own. but really, the artstyle is great and the music is great, those are perfect.
Gorgeous game, with some of the worst controls in any 3D platformer. I get what the dev was going for, but between the awkward keybindings and the fact that you control like a shopping cart on a greased up road, it's just not fun to play.
the movement is very good, the art is very good, it doesnt do well in everything else. the combat and bosses, exploration, items, quests, etc. i would like to say i have hope for the game because its in early access, but the codebase of the game is a complete mess so it takes the developer months to do what should be extremely simple things. so maybe give it a few years
Esthetically, This game is amazing, I've watched people play it online and i finally got it, and after finally trying it I can confidently say. These controls suck and I know its most likely a skill issue situation but they genuinely feel super clunky to use
this game's neat and the movement is fun but it's glitchy asf and there's f***-all to do atm after you beat the tutorial :/ its kind of an aimless mess, wait for some content updates and bugfix patches lost the first 5 hrs of progress to a bug that deleted my save so ymmv ig
This needs a thorough tutorial desperately, the aesthetics are really cool and the movement has a lot of potential, but the combat is frustrating and doesn't feel satisfying. This just didn't pull me in, it repelled me, in fact. I'll check it out when it comes out properly but as it is right now, I really couldn't recommend it.
Everything's fine but I was wandering through Castle Bogplex and I happened to fall into the void. Now I find myself stuck and I cannot respawn my character so I won't advance any further since I am definitely not willing to get another 50 fairies and 7 chaos cores. Game's good but please take these bugs into account because they might ruin a player's experience...
