About
IMPORTANT : Each run lasts 20 real-time minutes, but exploring the world, uncovering its secrets, and realizing what was possible all along can keep you discovering for much longer.
Eternal Afternoon is a poetic walking sim about wasting time before the end of the world. You play as Sasha, a 10-year-old boy wandering his neighborhood in the final minutes before a giant black wave swallows everything.

Retro nostalgic visuals & authentic atmosphere – a suburban block in the summer of 2001, recreated with care.
A chilling meditation on time, death, and the inevitable – experience the quiet dread of a world that ends in twenty minutes.
Story through exploration – uncover small moments, side quests, and fragments of mystery woven into the neighborhood.
Built with replayability and speedrun in mind – no save system, no upgrades; your only progress is knowledge of how the world works and how everything connects.

Eternal Afternoon is one of those games that won't click with everyone, but it definitely clicked with me. The story is told in a subtle, abstract way, and you really have to read between the lines to appreciate what it's trying to say. If you're expecting everything to be explained directly, you might not enjoy it. I personally loved piecing everything together. The atmosphere is fantastic. It's melancholic, a bit depressing, and somehow captures that distinct Eastern European vibe that makes everything feel nostalgic and strangely comforting at the same time. I played it in one sitting (actually, several playthroughs back to back). I read every single dialogue and genuinely enjoyed the writing and the characters. My only real complaint: what was the point of collecting all the kites? I gathered every single one and never got any reward or acknowledgment for it. That felt disappointing after putting in the extra effort. Even with that minor frustration, I had a great time. This game accomplishes what it sets out to do, and it left a lasting impression on me. If you enjoy narrative-driven games with an emotional atmosphere and don't mind connecting the dots yourself, I can definitely recommend Eternal Afternoon.

I own over 260 games just on steam, played well over 2,000 games throughout my life, (probably way more), and yet not a single game managed to give me the feeling this one did, made me ask questions about myself & the world around me, gave me the chance to experience the streets i walked during my childhood with the exact same feeling for one last time, this game holds a dear place in my heart, it shows this game was made with love, passion, and a lot of personal experiences from the creator's childhoom which is relatively similar to mine, thank you for that unusual & special experience, can't wait for the next game you'll make just to pre-order it!
Found out where the developer lives
Ah yes, such a nostalgic piece of art. It reminded me of the old neighborhood I lived in half hebrew, half russian speaking. Very eerie yet nostalgic. Some names or terms were more hebrew side like "Ars/Arsim" which made me giggle to that. I really liked the game more then I thought I will.
This is the best indie game that came out this year! Sadly many reviews are irrelevant to the game lol Waiting for the creator's next release!
i just saw the creator advertising this game on Instagram and figured hey thats a cool idea and its cheap too. Genuinely a masterpiece there's so much to do and it's clearly made with love couldn't recommend it enough.
