Esoteric Ebb

It's hard to understand what made Disco Elysium. It's an RPG where everything is decided through dialogue, but there's factors beyond just good writing. Esoteric Ebb not only understands Disco Elysium, but also forms a unique enough identity to stand on it's own. In fact, I might say it's the better video game. Smart writing that meshes fantasy with politics, interesting mystery to pull you along, fun cast of characters, and narrowing down of systems to make it more approachable than Disco. One of the best interpretation of D&D aside from Baldur's Gate, and highly recommend if you want a good funny time.

Un très bon moment sur le jeu, l'inspiration Disco Elysium est évidente et assumée, mais ça apporte assez de fraicheur pour ne pas non plus être une redite, et l'univers est un savant mélange entre la fantasy D&D très classico-classique (créatures, systèmes de jeu), et plein de worldbuilding original poussé pour créer un monde bien unique au jeu et truffé de lore à travers chaque dialogue et rencontre avec un nouveau PNJ. Sans être parfait, c'est sans nul doute un jeu qui vaut absolument la peine d'être fait si le concept vous parle.

I really like the fun of criticall failures that leads to the hero hiding in the barrel from the goblin queen, but i do not like political views of the author being so obvious and pushy. I'm deeply upset that this game is a political statement

J'ai essayé un long moment, en plus avec le patch de traduction française mais... il faut croire que ce n'est pas pour moi: l'idée est pourtant intéressante, je n'avais pas aimé non plus disco elysium mais voulais tout de même retenter.

Its not Disco Elysium and it can never be. But its pretty close.
