Escape Goat 2

A great classic style puzzle platformer with increasing difficulty and abilities as you play through, though nothing too difficult yet (about 75% through so far). Some achievements seem more geared towards a more dedicated type which is nice. Overall, if you think the game looks okay, I'd say get it, I'm having a blast and bought it on a whim, although buyer beware it doesn't appear to be super long, but I'd still say it's worth the price.

Overall a really nice little puzzle platformer and a good sequel to the original. Good amount of content, decent level design. A little challenging in places but on the whole the game is on the easier side (excluding the secret levels). Great soundtrack, as usual for this developer. The writing is enjoyable, even if it's just a few lines of dialogue. It's a small thing but the sound and visuals for the mechanisms shifting positions in the levels is something I always found really satisfying in the original Escape Goat, and that's the case here as well. I did find the platforming to be a bit frustrating in a few places. And, like in the original Escape Goat, some of the levels can be cheesed. But these were minor blemishes on an otherwise charming and worthwhile game. I completed all of the non-secret levels in 6 hours and stopped there, I've not got the patience for hunting down the secrets levels which, from what I've seen, are very difficult and also very well hidden with no hints.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed this game until now. As a fan of the first Escape Goat, I can say Escape Goat 2 was also a lot of fun. The puzzles were challenging, the goat was a goat, the sheep were sheep, the game had a lot of interesting mechanics. I had a lot of fun playing this game.

Escape Goat 2 is a charming and clever puzzle platformer that improves on the original in nearly every way — better art style, a non-linear overworld map so you're never truly stuck, and a satisfying difficulty curve that introduces new mechanics through smart level design rather than tutorials. The stained glass aesthetic and atmospheric soundtrack give the game a distinctive personality that kept me engaged throughout. That said, a handful of late-game levels lean too hard into precision platforming with floaty controls, which can turn a satisfying puzzle experience into frustrating trial-and-error — and some switches don't telegraph what they affect, which feels cheap rather than clever. If you enjoyed the first game or just want a quality indie puzzle platformer, this is absolutely worth picking up, especially on sale.

Awesome game, must play if you're into puzzle platformers. The puzzles are very clever and require a combination of problem-solving and perfect timing. The levels are never too easy and very satisfying to clear

This game is very underrated, a perfect blend of platforming and puzzles, with an excellent OST. I don't know why this game hasn't recorded my hours, I've beaten it twice in the past! Just steam being weird.

Short and more annoying than interesting Escape Goat is a puzzle platformer all about reading a level and figuring out how to exit it. There are also some extras and secrets to be found, but you don't need to engage with them if you don't want to. The main issue I have with this game is that it requires a lot of technical and quick movement that is less satisfying to pull of and more annoying to deal with. The first half of the game don't really require much skill to deal with, and it feels great to figure out, but the latter half of the game is far more tedious than interesting. It's not a terrible game, but it's not really all that good either.
