Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Before anything else, I just want to thank the devs of this game. You made something really special and I appreciate every minute of it. From the dialogue, characters, story, and gameplay. You guys really nailed what made Paper Mario style combat so fun and made it something of your own! This game is an incredible play. Even if you never touched the inspiration titles, this one stands out above all else to me. I grew up loving this turn-based style of combat. I can't believe how naturally it comes together in this. I'm a bit of a sucker for cliches I'll admit, but this story is a instinctual blend of that cartoonish, happy-going style with some nice twists and turns that blend together really nicely. The battles were challenging at time and I really had to think about how to use every character you get alongside your journey. I love the synergy gimmick! The Trinkets are a great way to experiment and (at least in my first playthrough) they didn't overly nerf every encounter! As of writing, I just finished the game and I think you guys made each piece feel like something meaningful! Everyone may have different opinions on that. That's what makes these pieces of media so important. Our own interpretation of the content and what it means to us. Thank you guys again for making this. You made the younger part of me feel so engaged with gaming again that I couldn't help but praise this!

Highly Recommended! Fun gameplay, Unique Story and lots of Secrets & Collectibles
Short, but except Mario Paper "Clone". Fight are most advance and interesting. There a lot more option (I suggest you play at Hard, or it could be boring) A great amount of exploration and secret. Little bit of puzzle, nothing complicated or difficult to miss. Clue are really decent and aren't yellow paint. All character are definitly interesting, but you have to experiment a little, some like the Witch has a default moveset that isn't that great. But later ability are really interesting. The last boss is too easy however if build well. I would have liked a more interesting fight. If its on sale, definitly worth it.
A game clearly inspired by Paper Mario - Thousand Year Door. While this game does have flaws, they fixed a lot of the problems I pointed out when it was in beta. They improved time windows for blocking, but it is still very difficult for some enemies. There were a few bugs here and there. With sound effects, weird shading during battles, missing textures. But nothing that ruined the game. Synergy could have used a more flashy animation. The game has a good sound track, especially near the end of the game. It does a pretty good job at hooking you into the story when you reach the second book. The protagonist is a bit bland, but they clarify that reason near the end. Overall, not as polished as alternatives like Bug Fables, but still fun.
Super awesome and fun game. Great story, no pun intended, and game play is interesting as well. I selfishly wish for so much more of Escape from Ever After because everything was just too good! Game plot felt a little short, wish it had maybe 2 more chapters before rushing to end game. I definitely will replay it, definitely do the side quests throughout the game as it truly enhances the experience and I will not spoil anything, but it pays off at the end. I hope for a sequel! :) I bought the extra Supporter's bundle to show my support and appreciation, I wish I could play this game for the first time all over again.
10/10
fun
great paper mario TYD like game.
This game is annoying and bloated. At least the second part. The first part, until Cthulhu, is interesting and less annoying. Then you get the pirate arc, which is slow, and the game goes hard with the puzzle-platformer part. Do you know how hard it is to navigate in a 3D world with a 2D character? Or try to hit the 2D enemy first for the free attack when you have no clue how far that character is compared to you? The game was messing with my depth perception so hard. I jumped next to a ledge many times because I thought I was next to it. Fights are boring. It is JRPG-style turn-based combat, which is slow and repetitive AF. There are not too many options for attacks. So there is not much strategy there. I used the same attacks over and over again. Not even all. Probably only 2 per character. Ok, there is a reflex element to the fights, which can be turned off, so you can choose between annoying and slow or boring and slow. You fight the same enemies over and over again. There are only a few types of enemies. Mostly, they only differ in skin or maybe 1 new attack type sometimes. The snail with a shell was the biggest new thing after 10 hours of gameplay. They even reuse the bosses. You can only boost your damage a little bit (but only the first hit, not the rest), so mid-level enemies are still slow to kill. And you have to kill them again and again because there is so much backtracking. That was somewhat fine, but you sometimes need to solve the puzzles again, which is frustrating. All this just to make the game longer. Also, there are like 5 types of collectables and a 100-level high optional dungeon where you have to start over if you want to go to sleep or something because the game has only manual save and only at fixed points. WTF??? IT IS 2026 and I can't f-ing quit a game because I lose progress!!! The game crashes a couple of times, once when I tried to do this dungeon. It just stopped working on level 60. So I just give up. I have probably 5 hours left, but I can't. There are games that respect my time; this one is not. The story and the characters are good, so if you like slow, repetitive stuff, go for it. It has a good price and, sooner or later, will be in a bundle, but I have little time left on this earth to waste my time on this
