About
In this dying age, only pockets of humanity remain. There was no apocalyptic event to speak of; only the cruel march of time and the inexplicable infertility of the world. Accursed creatures stalk the barren lands between settlements, which are themselves terrible places; squalid, medieval and mostly ruled by tyrants.
Our story begins in the town of Draenog, where the theatre performance you are putting on is interrupted by fighting at the gates. Demons have arrived. Your wooden sword will have to do for now, gather the troupe and defend yourselves!
Entropy is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game with an expansive world map, explorable towns filled with colorful characters, and a tactical turn-based battle system.
Embark on a quest across the lands to stop the demonic incursion.
Control your party of up to 6 characters.
Hire Mercenaries to replace your fallen party members.
Tactical Turn-Based Combat.
Explore a world full of unique characters, creatures, challenges, and treasure.
Level up your characters, increase your stats, and unlock new perks.
A beautiful retro 3D aesthetic.

Fantastic art!
pretty fun final fantasy tactics / fire emblem swag in an evil mycopunk world. i like how the characters and enemies are designed. the soundtrack rocks. the dithered + crt look is nice and dreamy too, and definitely it suits the game. even though it has a lot of clear inspirations it still feels pretty original. definitely recommend at the price, especially once more chapters come out.

For fans of Dread Delusion, this is another game with a lovely sense of world building, atmosphere, and combat tactics. It's got that classic party-based combat you see in JRPGs like Final Fantasy, Last Remnant, LOST SPHEAR, and many others. The perma-death/injury system is incredibly refreshing and adds a sense of risk to all combat encounters, which emphasizes preparedness above all else. The graphics are phenomenal for the atmosphere that's being conveyed and really lets you know that the story/experience was prioritized above looking shiny/stunning. Give it a shot, especially for the price, and support these guys so they can keep making more games like this.
Just finished playing up to what was available at EA launch. The game is fantastic fun so far! I can really feel a touch of the SaGa series in Entropy. Great vibes and world building. Fantastic combat system with intresting builds/abilities/limb targeting. Fun party buiilding with random and story party members that can experiance perma-death. Eager to see what comes in the future as the game moves towards full release.
Promising 7/10 Entropy is one of those early access games that you know has sauce, but it just has so little of it in its current state for you to thank the chef. As of its initial release there is only Act I, and out you could probably get 3-4 hours of solid gameplay and then the game suddenly ends just when you feel the wheels turning for the plot and your troupe. With that being said what's already in the game is great for anyone who likes JRPGs along with the "PS2" graphics vibe its got going on. This "mycopunk" fantasy world is unique, and so far the execution in its presentation and dialogue is exceptional. The character portraits are colorfully abstract in the best way possible, the music is fitting, the lore is original and intriguing. There is a lot to like with this game already, even if it is admittedly bare-bones I'd probably wait until the full game to drop before buying it but if you want to offer any feedback for the team to help them develop Entropy further i would encourage you to do so. This studio has so much potential to drop some more bangers if they keep one-uping themselves like this.
good
sick looking forward to future acts
really cool art style, fun game, cool world
Reviewing the 0.5.13 version. Might update later, but as it is right now I'd say this is very worth your time and money very thoroughly. I was told this is a 3-4 hour experience, I got 11 hours out of it in just one playthrough, cut down to 8 hours if you don't account for my *entirely optional* money and level grinding, and there's still more content hidden behind choices I didn't make that different outcomes. It's an overall incredible experience thus far and it's infectious in the energy it puts off, knowing almost exactly what it wants to be at this point in development, which I assume is 0.5 because all the major systems are successfully implemented, leaving us waiting on the rest of the game's settings, locations, and the wonderful number go up pleasures of leveling up our stats. This is REALLY good. Dialogue is very thoughtful if a bit overexplanatory sometimes when it comes to gameplay aspects, the music has depth to it and matches the settings really well to give them a specific energy, the combat isn't unfair but requires you to actually think about what you're doing and you can't just become this overpowered monster that immediately destroys everything in your way. It's a turn-based RPG with strategic placement elements. The scenery is pretty astounding as well, though I feel there are a bit too many dead ends for now where you just don't get anything at all for going where you did. I still think it's worth exploring because of how well thought out and mapped out the world of Entropy as it currently exists is. Since most substantial enemies roam visibly about the world there definitely needs to be some explanation for how enemies respawn, or perhaps some more types of enemies need to respawn quicker and at different variables based on their stats or experience they give. It's hard for me to tell how this is supposed to be balanced in specific as currently we're looking at what isn't even actually half a complete game and it's not too difficult to max out some of your stats. The Normal and Hard modes both having manual saving off and instead only having autosave feels a bit too unforgiving, because you can absolutely make a bad move or a bad roll and lose badly because of it. I would suggest Normal having the option to manually save, but it being turned off initially, and with the auto save turned off. Part of that is because I also wanted to go back and experience more of the dialogue variations too. I think that was my most major gripe. The pacing kept me wanting more information on what was going on, and it does feel wonderfully in tune in how it's written to be akin to JRPGs of old told in the unique and irreplicable style of how this studio operates. There's a moment very early on that introduces you to just how the world works, and it works so well. It comes when you first get to the overworld map. Overall another hit I can't wait for more of and I'm glad I'm jumping on early this time.
great atmosphere and soundtrack
