Like all EMMOs, the gameplay turned out to be weak and imbalanced, the anime girl visuals both front and center as well as just being a flimsy veneer. Now, the concept of an MMO is fantastic and we know that when these are made seriously and with talented developers, you can get a game like World of Warcraft and make billions of dollars. Or, you can go greed-before-content like Krafton/Kakao always do, and infest everything with nonsensical cosmetics and P2W garbage... before Elyon could even get off the ground, gamers saw all the toxic cash shop stuff and moved on. This is really a common story with most Chinese MMO stuff, even when it's slightly above mobile tier... it's all cash shop driven greed and gamers are getting to the point where enough is enough. Elyon isn't the first to die from developer greed and it won't be the last, but we can at least hope they'll start to learn from their lessons. They pulled this from Steam. Good riddance.
