Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 7 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
When immortal Titans descended on the world of Anthys, they stripped its magic and bound it into crystal shards buried deep in the earth. Mortal sorcerers rose against them and won, but victory came at the cost of civilization itself. The Cataclysm shattered continents, drowned cities, and left the survivors to crawl from the ruins and start again.
That was generations ago. Now new powers are rising. Kingdoms channel life magic to revive the land. Empires harness death magic to dominate it. And scattered across Anthys, the shards still pulse with stolen power, waiting for someone bold enough to claim them.
You are a sovereign. Establish your civilization. Raise your dynasty. Take the shards. Reshape the world in this reforged fantasy 4X classic!
Ten rival Kingdoms and Empires contest Anthys, split by an ideological war over the nature of magic itself. Command Procipinee's mighty sorcerers of Pariden with access to every school of magic. Lead the Ironeer of Gilden, stocky, magic-resistant miners who field Iron Golems in battle. Unleash the Trogs of Yithril as unstoppable Juggernauts. Or embrace the Quendar of Magnar, Titan-blooded slavers who convert captives into raw mana. Each faction plays differently. The AI plays by the same rules you do. No cheats, no rubber-banding.
Every unit in your army is an individual with a name, a history, and equipment you chose for them. You don't recruit generic soldiers. You design unit types from scratch, equip them with crafted gear, and watch them grow through battle. Losing a veteran stings, but fielding a squad you built from nothing and watching them crush the enemy in the endgame is something else entirely.
Your sovereign marries, produces heirs, and passes traits down through generations. Your children will grow to be your next Champions, your dynasty is a living system that spans your entire campaign, and the throne doesn't sit empty when your ruler falls.
Capture Elemental shards and you don't just gain power: you reshape the world itself! Turn scorched wasteland into fertile ground. Raise mountain ranges to seal a border. Corrupt revived land into Fallen terrain or push it back. The map at the end of the game will be very different to the one you started.
Three research branches (Civilization, Warfare, and Magic) let you define what kind of empire you're building. Unlock world-altering sorcery, or ignore it entirely and win through steel and economy. The tree is deep enough that no two campaigns develop the same way.
Forge weapons, armor, scrolls, potions, and enchanted artifacts from gathered resources. Your heroes carry gear you built, not just loot from a chest. A custom-forged blade on a champion you've raised from nothing is worth more than any random drop.
When armies clash, combat plays out on a tactical battle map. Position your units to take advantage of their unique strengths and abilities. Magic is devastating and a carefully cast spell may end the battle in epic style. The AI exploits the same systems you do and doesn't pull punches.
Anthys is procedurally generated and packed with content. Dungeons like the Pits of Namtur stretch to the underworld. The Lombard Desert hides the lost Library of Illuna. The Shroud swallows travelers whole. Hundreds of quests, recruitable champions, and encounters that respond to your choices fill out a world that plays differently every time.
Prelude, The Fallen Enchantress, and The Legendary Heroes. Three full story campaigns spanning different eras of Anthys, from the rise of Ceresa's Fallen armies to the corruption of Mirdoth and the reign of the Sorcerer King.
Build and share custom maps, scenarios, and total conversions.
Elemental began in 2010 as Stardock's vision for the definitive fantasy civilization game, a world where 4X strategy met RPG depth at every level. That vision took three games and over a decade of iteration to fully realize. Reforged brings all of that work together on a modern 64-bit engine. This is the game it was always meant to be.

I LOVE the original game, and this one too. However, there are far too many bugs in the game and for $30 it hasn't been worth it. *Edit - Played more of the game (30 hours more) while it still has bugs, got involved in the Discord and finding the devs very involved. Changing the review as I have high hopes for the future of this game.
I tried and tried and tried... My favorite 4x is AgeOfWonders: Planetfalls which has all the same 4x mechanics as this one. I hate to compare but everything except the RPG part (maybe) it does better. So there are npc enemies all around the map and they also get stronger with time which i think is a cool mechanic. They also have an roam/attack timer. Not once was i anything near their strength. I would even say it was impossible for me to be in that time. I played on hard or challening and there are 2-3 difficulties above. Also research feels strange. I felt like i can only go eco and then maybe later units spells whatever (whit leveling enemies and you not getting stronger because you research eco - what am i supposed to do?!). Example: At season 45-49 some random drake unit walks my region and so i try do go back with all i have (2 champions 1 summon) and they attack me and kill my only units. Then they just attack my capital boom gone. At this time i got 1.4 income - JUST 1 basic unit has an wage of 1.1 (i´m not sure any amount of them makes any difference vs the drakes) It´s not a bad game i guess but it´s impossible to play like a 4x cause you gona lose (if that makes any sense)! So as it stand i can´t recommend it and will probably not play again...

This is a soft thumbs up recommendation. Elemental: Reforged isn't going to be for everyone. If you're not sure if you'll like this, then just pick up Fallen Enchantress on a steep sale. It's almost exactly this game, but it runs better on older hardware. I've been enjoying the Elemental game series ever since the admittedly poor initial game launch many years ago. Brad Wardell and Stardock have been supporting this game forever - it's a labor of love and it really shows. The improvement over time is what nets this game a thumbs up for me. Right now, this game is an adequate 4X, but not as good as Master of Magic, Age of Wonders, Warlock Masters of the Arcane, Fallen Enchantress, or the much-underappreciated Planar Conquest. It's light on the strategy but robust on the tactical combat. The graphics are great. The research & economy part of the game is just fine. The world is lore-rich and there's a lot of "show, don't tell" storytelling, which is really the best kind, in the pieces of the game world that you'll uncover as you play. Nothing quite comes together perfectly. There's not enough tactical option to go with the amount of tactical depth the game provides. There's too much micromanagement of your too-few cities. Combat gets repetitive very, very quickly - by early mid-game every fight will be the same, depending on how you've specced your heroes. Heroes are still so powerful that it doesn't make much sense to train armies except as city defense, but there's no significant pressure on your cities if you're using your heroes to clear the map. This is a fun game, and maybe a good game. If it's anything like the previous iterations of Elemental, it'll end up being a very good game...eventually. If you've got a few bucks to throw at a developer who really does care about their game and will in all likelihood keep supporting it for a long time, buy this game, maybe leave it a positive review if you think it deserves it, and keep coming back as the game changes and improves over time.
Nope, nope, nope. This one really sounded good, and the prologue, though a bit dull, was enough to keep me going. Started the second campaign scenario, and could not generate enough wealth to keep a viable force in the field. I had two gold mines, and city was producing wealth (barely), but I was still in the red. Gave up in total frustration.
Lots of potential, but frequent crashes and bugged music makes it nearly unplayable
Unfinished and full of bugs. This would be fine if they weren't trying to release paid DLC, or developers telling negative reviewers to "Get a life". I was willing to give this game a chance, but the behavior of the people behind it is completely unacceptable. I won't support a developer that acts like this and I regret giving them my money.
Elemental Reforged tries to take ideas from many other 4x games and create their own version. The problem is failed execution and bugs. The game doesn't give clear production details (in cities, and overall production). It is frustrating finding my cities are often doing nothing. You always need a split force; 1) exploring 2) protecting your cities Even after you clear the map, random powerful armies appear and destroy your cities. A number of small annoying bugs appear. The game has potential if they can make fundamental improvements.
All the Elemental games have always been great in their own way, and Reforged takes all of them and makes a super-game out of them all. We're obviously pretty early on (There's still no Undead faction yet, for example), but we're already looking good. Overwhelmingly this game is great, but if you want a few small negatives: 1) There's an annoying error messages on every launch on Linux, even though it runs completely fine. 2) The lineage feature is directly ported from before, flaws and all. It can give you incredible heroes, or it can give you nothing important, and there's not much you can do to influence it. 3) The modding community hasn't hit the same levels as earlier games yet, but that makes sense. If you're an old veteran of the game, you may enjoy the additional stuff in here, but if you're a new player to the series, this is without a doubt the one you want.
