About
The galaxy has been a peaceful place for many years. After the ruthless Terran–Hegemony War, much effort has been employed by all major spacefaring species to prevent the terrifying events from repeating themselves.
The Galactic Council was formed to enforce precious peace, and it has taken many courageous efforts to prevent the escalation of malicious acts.
Nevertheless, tension and discord are growing among the seven major species and in the Council itself. Old alliances are shattering, and hasty diplomatic treaties are made in secrecy.
A confrontation of the superpowers seems inevitable—only the outcome of the galactic conflict remains to be seen. Which faction will emerge victorious and lead the galaxy under its rule?
The shadows of the great civilizations are about to eclipse the galaxy.
Lead your people to victory!

Smooth Turorial and nice gameplay, with goo AI (with some minor bugs, though that make the game stuck)
It recreates the boardgame pretty well although the interface takes some practice learning how to do things.
Multiplayer is dead. I didnt try with friends yet. The game is just an OK adaptation. nothing crazy. On single player, it sometimes freezes and crashes (I noticed it happens when Im in Fullscreen, and click on "go back to menu"), but (so far) the game was always auto-saved at the beginning of my turn and could resume with no issues. The game startup is pretty fast, so is an annoyance I can live with. There is one thing about the INFluence action that after checking in the manual and when I have played in the physical boardgame, seems like its a missing feature: With the INFluence action you should be able to move influence disks from your influence rack to any empty adjacent sectors to any sector you own/have a ship on. When I use the INFluence action in this PC version, it only allows me to Uninfluence sectors; but not to Influence them. Only after the combats you can influence sectors, but only if you have a ship on them, which is incorrect, as you should be able to influence them as far as its an empty adjacent sectors to any sector you own/have a ship on. Anyway I will give a thumb up because Im having fun with it, but its true that is far from being "solid".

Perfect to scratch that Eclipse itch
Very true to the board game. Great option when you feel the need but no one wants to play...
Too many bugs (not being able to influence a sector after combat, no discovery token given after winning combat against Ancients) and a completely broken multiplayer lobby (can't name game rooms, rooms and friends not showing up at all). Combat dice roll calculations cause animations to hitch a lot. Battles are boring to watch for a digital adaptation. UI is barely passable, and undoing an action is only available after the entire action is already complete (can't change your mind halfway through multiple activations). Horrible port overall, play this on Tabletop Simulator instead with real people.
Game is not supported, play on TTS instead, don't be fooled
If you haven't played Eclipse do yourself a favour and get this game. It is one of the most engaging boardgames ever made, and it's even more enjoyable on PC. And please don't torture yourself with the Tabletop simulator. While this version does have minor bugs, it still a far smoother and enjoyable experience than the TS jank.
Constant crashes and it doesnt do the boardgame justice. Boardgame is way more fun.
As much as the game has own glitches, it's playable and allows you to practice strategies for the real games. Sometimes, after the crash the game can't 'resume'. What helped me to 'resume the tutorial' first, and after the resume for the game worked well.
