This might be one of the best games of all time and I'm not joking. Having read all of the UTC commentaries it's shocking how much of it boils down to 'i was going to do X but then I realised 'it would be more fun with Y' and just did that'. Having played Severed Steel before this, I expected it to be pretty similar but it utterly blew SS out of the park.
Fantastic game. Great gunplay, had a lot of fun. Took me ~9hrs to 100% all launch content. Took me ~2h to beat the rogue mode. It's a fun little addition, and the devs let you fasttrack through it by giving you shortcuts after successfull runs. Took me ~4h to 100% the expansion. It's allright, definetly less fun than the original game, but the dev commentary on across the map gives interesting insights into the development of the game.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 2 → 3.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great movement shooter, lots of arcadey fun, would recommend!
I mostly stuck to the main objective, and it delivered on everything I was hoping it would. The game after the tutorial is non-linear. You can fast travel! I also turned on the "unlimited slomo" because it was just more fun than micromanaging the slomo. I also turned off the "rollover" camera option. This is a very different formula than that one very popular early access indie shooter that I won't mention here to avoid comparisons. I love the speed and fluidity of the movement and the lack of claustrophobic arenas that lockdown a tiny room where you fight waves of enemies. The OST is genuinely fantastic.
When I bought Severed Steel a few years ago, I had a lot of misconceptions about it. I expected a very high-octane, constantly in-your-face shooter where you feel like an actual god shooting heads left and light like it's nothing, with constant movement where you're almost never on the ground. Ultimately, I was wrong - it's a much more zen-like experience where you turn your brain off, take in the sights and try to stay in slow-oe as much as you can. I didn't gel with it at first but it grew on me after a few playthroughs, so I was very excited about Greylock's next game. EPN is, quite literally, EXACTLY what I thought Severed Steel would be. It goes at a breakneck pace, but it's very tolerant of mistakes - even if you miss a jump by a mile, you have 2 to 3 options to correct it instantly. And the gunplay is just pristine, coupled with a slow-mo mechanic that's the exact opposite of Severed Steel; a few seconds of power trip every few minutes instead of a constant state you should be seeking. It's also EXTREMELY open and allows you to go pretty much anywhere at any moment, which fits perfectly with the insane amount of speed and height you can gain. Though it relies a bit too much on big quest markers to my liking - You can turn them off but the game was clearly designed with them in mind and it makes it hard to figure out where to go next sometimes. You like shooters? You're not prone to motion sickness? Get this game now.
whooshhhhhh wheeeee!
Великолепная игра, единственная которую я с кайфом закрыл на 100%, надеюсь в будущем найду что то похожее
Tons of fun! Beat first playthrough with the steam controller. (2026 one) Game runs amazing with Raytracing on my rig.
Great game
