Boring story with god awful writing paired with a map that's designed to make parkour horrible compared to the previous two games. Uninteresting characters and only a single questline that was interesting. Fast travel was only recently added, but originally you were stuck using the slowest and most unfun vehicle you've ever driven in a game. Zombies for some reason take numerous hits to kill until the end, and humans can endlessly dodge. I enjoyed the first two games, but this really wasn't worth the time. You'll miss nothing by skipping this.
"Bring me Crane" followed by the next line being "He has everything he wants, he won't see us coming." It might be the worst writing I've seen in a game. They have a side quest where a character can control zombies. Suddenly in the main story this is all new to Crane and no one has tried it before. Then somehow they forget she can control zombies for the final assault and after nearly everyone dies, she suddenly remembers "Oh I can use the zombies to help!" Just don't even bother with this game.
First thing to get out of the way: you don't buy a Dying Light game for the story. Any zombie game is going to come with plot holes, but in this game, some of the twists made my eyes roll, lots of plot coincidences, and the main villain is almost twirling-mustache tier. And there are some parts which were too much for the suspension of disbelief. To be fair though, there are some good set pieces, particularly in some of the side quests. The gameplay is your usual Dying Light faire. The environment is more like the fist game, mostly a urban old town with a little bit of countryside like The Following mixed in. There are vehicles in the game but it is nothing like the fast, tight driving mechanics from The Following. No big spaces like Dying Light 2, so no paraglider this time. It really feels like a DLC for Dying Light and I think that's fine. Co-op with friends is also fun, as usual.
I love the setting
i really like that i can chose if i want to play alone or with friends its also an very fun game for me
