It's frustrating when you invest in a game that has tons of potential, then watch it die with no updates... Only to see the developer announcing their next project which is a sequel to the unfinished one you've been waiting to be completed. Why would we pay for a Dungeons of Edera 2 when you never finished the first one. Pass on this and pass on the next one too.
It has good intentions but its been used as kind of cashgrab on EA, now they want to start developing the second one when the 1st is still incompleted. Bad practices, worth not recommending.

As many have stated, the game showed some promise, the first couple of hours demonstrating a passable gameplay loop. However there are so many issues and bugs with the game, it lacks polish and should never have released from early access in its current state. Even worse, instead of solving the obvious issues and delivering a half decent product for the people supporting the developers, they pull one over and announce a "Dungeons of Edera 2" without any explanation as to why they gave up on the current product. The game is built using Unreal Engine which provides adequate upgrade paths for developers, so they can hardly blame the engine. I honestly don't see the point in making a DoE 2 if it's going to be anything like this one - no doubt you've lost the majority of your interest base with this product, I for one won't be falling into this trap again.
Why would anyone buy a second game when the first game is this bad? lol just stop.
been waiting for more update before diving back in as it was very barebones when I first played.. but now the dev is just working on a sequel instead of finishing this game. Don't recommend either.
Its just a shame that the developers decieded to drop DOE 1 and focuses on realeasing DOE 2. Since this game is not in a finished / polished state. Therefor cannot recommend this game nor the developers. This is inexcusable and shows a considerable lack of affection to their own game.
they left this wonderful concept and funny game in a state where you could call it early acess and now they release a doe 2 like wtf why dont you continue here first?
Status from Early Access changed to Finished - hmmmmmm I need to make another one and get people paying - hmmmmmm We allow this behaviour by paying for Early Access - not buying early access anymore.
Basic combat isn't very satisfying and a confusing (or nonexistent?) save system made me bail early
This game is broken and instead of fixing it, the dev is moving on to a new game.
