The Dungeon Master has a new favourite sport: Dungeon League takes everything that is awesome about dungeon crawling and spews it out as ten minutes of chaotic, competitive, multiplayer action.

It has few bugs but being well taken care of by its developer who listens to his fans and even hangs out with them on discord. The community may be small but its slowly growing. Game play gives you somewhat of a gauntlet or old arcade feel. I personaly think this game could go somewhere if it keeps getting polished and continues to have content added. Recomend using a controller, keyboard does work but its not as effective i feel. 9/10 in my book~
it's... alright. pretty fun game to play at a party, but it gets old when playing with a few friends. it just feels like it's lacking something. soul, maybe? i dunno, i'm so tired of pixelated dungeon games at this juncture, so maybe i'm just biased at this point? but anyways it's been a while since i've played this game, so if the devs ever decide to get back to updating this perhaps it could be something worth picking up again... but for now, eh.

A really enjoyable light dungeon crawler. Even better with friends with modes for both co-op and a heap of different deathmatch style multiplayer games (CTF, KOTH, Chicken Capture). Fun characters and a tight and light progression system. Average game length is about 10 minutes, but I've found myself playing for a few hours at a time chasing high scores in the online leaderboards.
没有汉化,一个人玩也太难了点,可能多人玩会有点意思吧,不过没体验过。
没中文。单人玩比较坐牢,当然dungeon本来就是地牢的意思,可能联机比较有趣吧,单人不推荐。
SNAPSHOT
A multiplayer only experience
OVERALL - 3.5 / 10

PROS
+ lots of characters to pick from
CONS
- unplayable in single player - awful melee hit detection / player experience
FULL REVIEW
For starters it's worth pointing out that if you want to play this game single player as indicated by the feature list you're in for a bad time - ignoring the fact that only 1 of 3 game modes is available, the game scaling is heavily balanced against you so you're pretty much guaranteed to die after ~5 levels, period. On top of this, the melee experience is also awful as a large amount of things blow up in your face and the hit detection for a lot of attacks is really, really bad. Finally, if you are playing solo you essentially HAVE to play a character with healing which limits you to 3 of the 12 characters. That all being said, the basics of the gameplay seem fun but given that it was unfeasible to progress solo this game's overall experience was very short lived. I will say that being constantly faced with a timer in every portion of the game (e.g. between levels) was probably the most aggravating thing I've ever experienced.
Super super fun game, I wish more people played so the PVP and COOP could be more prevalent. The discord is pretty inactive now but I really think that if more people played this game could be a huge hit! 90% of my hours in game were single player or local coop. Game is a little finnicky about Xbox 360 controllers if you're an archaic gamer like me. Movement controls were reversed for just this game using one. This wasn't always the case.
Edited 11/1/18 for new release With it's full release I feel like Dungeon League has grown up and matured quite a bit. Between adding new characters, adjusting balance, new monsters, monster abilities, items, traps, unlocks, etc, it all just feels more 'right'. Previously running through the gauntlet felt repetitive after a while, now with more to do and different obstacles to overcome I can see myself wanting to come back to the dungeon over and over again for a long time. I would have recommended this even if it didn't include online capability but the fact that I can play with others online elevates this even higher. I would absolutely recommend buying this game. Original Review: Really cool local multiplayer game, with plans for online matchmaking on full release. The different game modes, number of classes and feel of real progression between rounds sucked me in. Of note, After playing just a few times I started to begin to appreciate that there is some deeper strategy in multiplayer matches (i.e. Do I focus on looting and killing monsters for level advancement? or do I focus on winning the round?). I find going solo through the gauntlet (PvE mode) difficult and felt like I had to have healing abilities to survive, which excludes several characters.
It feels like a stripped down version of Gauntlet combined with, say, Darkest Dungeon, where you keep getting sent back to square one. The graphics are retro-cool and the game play is fun. The local multi-player is my favorite aspect. I'm always on the lookout for a cooperative multiplayer (especially 4 players) for my son to play with his friends (or his parents and their friends). In this regard, it reminds me of Duck Game, Samurai Gun, Towerfall Ascension and Overcooked. Simple, chaotic and fun. If you are after something similar, I highly recommend this game. I hope they continue to improve this game (and people buy enough copies to make it worth their while) as I think it has the makings of a classic.
