Dungeon Core is a roguelite top-down shooter where you get to explore the sewers and beyond to ultimately reach an old underground research facility. Old nuclear waste has caused dangerous mutations in creatures due to a failed experiment. You set out to destroy the abandoned nuclear core.

I don't quite understand this game, it seems void of unoriginal ideas and I thought maybe from it's title they'd do something interesting with you maybe having to defend a dungeon core? which isn't exactly a new idea, but this is the most by the numbers basic rouge-like dungeon crawler, and if that was the point of the project. then congrats you hit your goal, but for a player you're better off playing enter the gungeon, or binding of Isaac or heck even dead estate. almost any other rouge-like dungeon crawler on steam would be more worth it and retread less ground, which is honestly impressive, in a genre so over-flooded with samey game-play to be able to release a product that delivers less than my already low expectations is both shocking and something I have to respect.
I'll change my review to positive when I can play with a controller. I like to play these types of games with controller, but currently there is a game breaking bug/glitch that happens when using a controller. The character continues to move in the same direction you started until your gun's mag is empty. So you can end up walking into a pit, running right into danger, etc. In fact, it happens to a smaller extent even with the semi-auto weeapons. To be clear the game would be like 8/10 if not for this game breaking issue. So in its current state I cannot play. FYI I'm not the only person to post about this in discussions.

Enter the Gungeon, with a splash of Nuclear Throne, and a progression system that the other 2 are lacking. Awesome music and cool character design make this a winner. It's also in EA so who knows how deep this is going to go, as it stands right now I feel it well worth the purchase, and cant wait for more. Seeing others have clocked many hours into this one I feel I have to play more. Awesome game, but please make it work with Playnight. This is the only game in my library that will not work with it. Kudos...
great game!
This is Last Product of All Top Down Shooter Kind!
Excellent fun! Looking forward to seeing what the devs do with it!
If you liked Enter the Gungeon, you'll probably like this too. The weapons and items aren't too varied. But it plays well, has juicy audio and decent visuals.
Very good and solid game. A little feeling of Nuclear Throne with music and gameplay.
Lazers go pew pew! Enemy variety is great and the time trial mode was a nice addition!
Binding of Isaac meets Rogue Legacy! I really like this game. It reminds me of The Binding of Isaac (which is one of my favorite games) but this is a different game, a bit harder at start and has a lot of different mechanics it being roguelite type. Will definitely finish it, I just need to grind for better stats and to get to know enemies a little bit. I think this is a must buy for roguelike/roguelite games fans and most definitely for Binding of Isaac fans. https://youtu.be/NANjZe-OiwU
