Dune Awakening has an excellent and challenging combat system. Currently the only way to practice that combat system against other players, is to trust that the other party will not betray and kill you. WHen you die you can lose materials and durability of equipment. This is a large detriment to the player-base because it does not encourage player development through combat. What Dune Awakening lacks since the first release and through the 4 DLC packs is a simple dueling mechanism. A system for Landsraad-sanctioned duels where participants can fight 1 on 1, 1 on #, or # on #. This is a system that is extremely lore friendly and would have saved a large portion of lost players from attrition. DEVs, we NEED dueling and before the third Villeneuve film comes out. Not more cosmetics.
