Don't get me wrong here, I like Dune—the universe, the story, and everything that comes with it. When this game was announced, I was so hyped for it. I thought Dune would be the perfect world to dive into. And when it came out... it wasn't. Many, many patches later, I finally gave it another shot. Sure, it has its ups and downs, but it feels like it's trying to be so many things that it simply isn't. I honestly expected more from this whole IP than the mess we ended up with. At least we're getting a single-player experience. Sure, being alone in the desert sounds very fun—no one else around, just you, some random NPC, and the Worm. No, hear me out here. It's fun to build by yourself in the desert, alone, with no interaction in an MMO/multiplayer/survival/PvP game. Now that it's single-player, you can build all the things you always wanted, and the Worm will be the only one there to admire it... except you, of course. Now I can build a great empire without being bothered by other players, use all the spice to make more weapons and stuff, and waste hundreds of hours expanding even further, just so I can go and kill some NPCs. That's basically it. And I can go on missions by myself, have fun by myself, and not with my friends. Sure, the fun part of playing with other people will be missing, and every weird moment or stupid thing that used to happen when you played with them will be gone too, but... but it will be........ ah, who am I kidding. I mean, sure, it will be fun. Aye, it's gonna be cool for a while. Then you'll uninstall it and forget about it. Trying to please all sides gets you this, I guess.
Крутой вайб дюны, есть все от навыков, до техники и строительства
Can be a bit boring but it's the only game to larp the dune universe and it's not too bad. Hopefully it can get a bit better overtime with updates etc.
This is an excellent survival game, but the one thing it does supremely well is thread the needle on the stakes. Most survival games either let you pick up where you left off or make you start over from scratch. Depending on the situation, death in Dune Awakenings means inconvenience at best or losing everything you brought with you at worst (generally avoidable if you're careful). Yes, it is possible for a glitch at the wrong moment to cost you all your best gear and vehicle (and I've come close), but 200hrs in I can say the odds of it happening are very low. My one complaint is the apparent lack of an endgame, but I might have just lost the trail.
fun
Great game - wonderful progression, loads of missions and things to do, a good mixture of tension and release, as well as building. Almost a new age minecraft with a lot of lore. It can bit a bit buggy at times though
Came back after a long break and there's still no fix for the ridiculous rubberbanding. I have tried every setting in game, restarted my router, you name it. This has been a multiday process to go through every available suggestion on the Internet I could find and the desync still persists.
The game has 0 optimization, it’s all just freezes, both with DLSS and without it — how can this be released? 1/10
I'm addicted to spice and also making new bases. I've been in it for a minute so now I'm finally participating in Landsraad missions now which has also been fun. The crafting is what you'd expect from this type of game. I recommend getting the buggy sooner rather than later as that's absolutely the best way to get gear materials. The Hagga Basin map is beautiful and I've had a blast exploring Arrakis. I have enjoyed the story very much but there isn't much of it yet.
I hate ðe ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sandworms in ðis game. Ðey've made me so paranoid ðat I can't touch sand. Ðe Dumbass developers behind ðis retarded game can't boðer to make a positive change ðat isn't someþing stupid like "fixed typos". Don't get tricked into playing ðis game if you don't have any friends
