About

Drop Duchy takes on the iconic geometric puzzle gameplay we all know and love with a fresh perspective: instead of simply clearing lines, you'll be thoughtfully building a realm using pieces of various shapes and types to overcome enemy challenges.
A mix of deckbuilding, puzzle and rogue-lite, the game offers a new gameplay designed to hone your appetite as a block-stacking tactician. Optimization is key to collecting precious resources, protecting your castle, and building your army.
Defeat is not the end, though: use the experience gained in previous runs to unlock even more content!

In each round of your run, Drop Duchy offers you a fresh and unique landscape to work with. Place tile pieces as you would in a typical block-dropping game but with a strategic twist: you need to align them to maximize their activation rules, producing maximum resources and units.
Selecting the optimal structures to place next to blocks of lush forests, wild rivers or grassy plains is crucial for maximizing your materials use and nurturing a bustling realm.
Forming lines grants bonuses, yet the ultimate goal is to pack up the most resources gradually. These resources will be crucial to build up your army bit by bit, ensuring your kingdom is well-protected against the enemy threats.

Select your path, gather your troops to outnumber your enemies, and reclaim the regions under their control. But be careful: letting your castle take too much damage can lead to defeat.
Successful battles lead your forces down branching, decision-filled paths in a march to storm the enemy fortress.
If your army falls before capturing the bastion, you can quickly jump back in and try a new strategy, thanks to a cleverly designed gameplay loop.
Adapt, conquer, and keep the action moving!

Grow in power with a rich deckbuilding system: build and enhance constructions with over 110 unique cards, each offering powerful upgrades and modifiers. Unlock new possibilities when using building or technology cards, each granting new bonus structures to boost soldier recruitment & various other perks. Customize your deck to suit your strategy and optimize your realm’s growth.
As you progress on your run, trade with markets or guilds to acquire valuable resources, use them wisely to upgrade your deck, make strategic decisions, and choose your path for the next round.

Drop Duchy features a robust meta progression system with over 100 unique misssions! Climb the ranks and unlock various bonuses such as increased resources, new cards or additional health.
These missions are intertwined with the three playable factions: The Duchy, The Republic, and The Order, each offering exclusive faction quests that grant faction-specific rewards. Completing these objectives across your runs not only tailors your strategy but also improves your chances of success, ensuring that every playthrough contributes to your long-term progression and victory.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Tetris 2, ahora si pierdes te quedas sin latifundio
DEUS VULT! 100/10 Drop Duchy is a roguelike using Tetris pieces. The actual gameplay of Tetris, you know, frantic placing of blocks, lining up full rows, failing, crying, all that, takes something of a back seat in practice. Emphasis is placed much more on spatial planning, resource management, and improvising the best continuation when THE DOWNTOWN IS THE LAST DAMN CARD AGAIN! How it works is that the pieces show different types of terrain. Each type interacts with the building pieces you deckbuild and shuffle in with the terrain, plus enemy buildings forced on you. Get resources by filling rows or from buildings, remember to raise some armies, try not to die. Between rounds, pick new cards and spend resources to upgrade them. The game's randomness may seem like it's everywhere, but in practice it's quite controllable. Between levels, you have generous card rerolls and can limit the random options to specific pools. During levels, just get good lmao. The great: * While you'll do two hours in one sitting, finishing a run provides a natural break for going to the bathroom or acknowledging family members. * It tickles the Increasing Numbers endorphins, but gentler than Balatro. Animations are more subdued and three-digit numbers usually mean you've reached endgame status. * The game rewards skill without being repetitive. Every level is different, your deck heavily affects your placement strategy, and if you truly do get messed up by terrible RNG the game offers zero-judgement save reloads. It's not cheesing if the ingame tip tells you to do it! * Also, you have powers to stack the deck and can rewind to before your last placed piece as often as you want. You'll rarely get stuck with silly mistakes. * The wooden board game aesthetic just does it for me. The pieces adjust to form continuous groups with surrounding ones, the UI is lovely, and sound design just crisp. The meh: * Everything in the game is an unlock. Most notably, each faction starts with like two buildings and a piece of snot. Do yourself a favour and run them through on Easy once at the start. Not only will you learn what they're about, at the end of that run, your next run will start with the equivalent of several level completions. In all fairness, ONE brief run is usually enough to get all the starting improvements. * This is very much a game to concentrate on. The unlockable factions' gimmicks are *interesting*, but can also be immensely frustrating. I already get cortisol spikes remembering spending the entire level making a Crusader Box only to learn the "Counts as a River" Bridge is still its own region and instead of 150 boys I now get 9 and die. * Despite the gameplay being varied, I would argue each faction has a few techs that are practically mandatory. You can usually arrange getting them, but have fun playing the Republic without Masonry. * There is a little bit of RoguelikeOnlyBossMattersitis. It inspires you to plan for a high army output level and maybe specifically *to* favour economy over army early on, knowing you can just take the damage and heal it up later by the power of three Bridges. But the point remains that bosses field significantly higher unit counts than any level before them.
This game is basically Teris with many many MANY combos/unlockables/upgrades/types-of-tiles and a medieval coat of paint. Its very fun and satisfying to play, and evn though I'm only 5 hours in its already obvious there is content to spend a long LONG time on this game if you enjoy it as much as I do.
Took a bit to understand how to get my forces up but after knowing where to place the blocks correctly I started progressing further. Great game to bypass time if you're just sitting around.
Great game, could have used more achievements, given that I achieved things beyond what gets awarded :D
