About
Drone Sector fuses the gunship close air support role with the drone's observation and mission command. Inspired by the real-life AC-130 gunship and MQ-9 Reaper drone, it merges these powerful roles in a futuristic setting, where advanced technology and heavier firepower enable you to take on more complex and dangerous missions. While not a pure military simulator, the focus remains on tactical planning and execution, with greater flexibility in mission design and weaponry.
Guide your squads as they advance through hostile environments to achieve mission objectives. Command with precision, helping them avoid traps and eliminating high-priority threats with your overwhelming firepower. Outnumbered by enemy forces, you’ll need to maximize your technological superiority to turn the tide.
During each mission, you’ll need to make strategic decisions about resource gathering. Send your ground squads into buildings or key areas to collect vital resources and research documents—but this comes with risk. Stay too long, and you may lose your squad to overwhelming enemy forces. Decide when to extract and when to push your luck for valuable rewards.
Between missions back at base, upgrade your gunship, squads, and weapons. Manage your ammo production and research new technologies to improve your chances in the field.

Multiple camera modes: color, night vision and thermal vision
Commanding self-sufficient squads on the ground

Its a lot of fun great game. Have a lot of potential
Fantastic game! Its the most fun "AC-130 gunship" like game in my opinion. It run pretty great on my Allay X (2024). I haven't had any issues. Hopefully the devs can add more weapons with future updates, maybe even some silly and creative ones.

好玩,希望出丧尸模式。
It is a fun game and it lets you feel like a coward shooting stuff from above... but you will feel like an awesome and proud coward exploding insurgents (or however you call soldiers these days) with a 120 mm frag head. Critical things: Ressources are a huge problem. You NEED to watch out about your ammunition storage since you get materials but you WILL NEED bulk material. Am playing it on easy just for the fun and to feel like an US drone pilot or something... but this bulk material is scarce since you will need it to manufacture ammo and also for research. So far there is no button to undo your prior actions. At the moment for instance I got material but no working hours left and therefore I got no ammo. So the main ressources are: warhead material and bulk material... and then work hours. There is no trading place and you cannot buy these things otherwise... this hinders your management a lot. @Devs: I recommend a market for the stuff or an exchange method since I am holding on to some special material which I cannot use anyways since I do not have enough of the former mentioned ressources. Also I recommend to make it cheaper... less material needed for the things. Also there should be an ammo type which you can get easier or cheaper or even free so you can go on missions.
Incredibly good game for a solo dev and for how early in it's lifetime it is. The game suffers from lack of content (which is obviously expected if you're buying in early access) and balancing issues which the dev already seems to be working on, but other than that it has a super solid foundation to become an incredible game. Definitely worth the money and i'm very excited to see where this game goes!
A lot more in depth than I was expecting, having a lot of fun with it so far.
It's cheap, fun, and runs pretty good. Ill keep it. Tune up the explosions or something! Kinda underwealming destruction levels
The game is pretty cool definitely worth the 20 bucks! They need to uh make different missions where you actually need squad teams, Also maybe I just don't know how to do it. Butttt an APC stands for ARMORED PERSONELL CARRIER .... LET IT TRANSPORT THE RIFLE SQUADS ACROSS THE MAP FFS! lol... otherwise. Just use the 50 cal APC Drive to all obj's and rinse repeat it gets boring after a little bit once you figure out you don't actually need the rifle team.
For EA it's a fun game. Dev is active and fixing very quickly. Worth a buy.
