Dread Nautical prende la mitologia tipica di Lovecraft per confezionare un rogulike che si concentra sulla sopravvivenza tramite l'esplorazione, sempre più difficile, dell'ambiente di gioco mentre si cerca di venire a capo di ciò che è successo. Musiche e colori ricreano a dovere un 'atmosfera cupa, misteriosa e soffocante. I combattimenti smorzano le fasi di ricerca, sebbene non siano molto profondi alla fine dei conti saranno necessari per ottenere più risorse possibili, ma occhio alla salute dei superstiti!
