Dragonpath is a great top-down perspective ARPG hack-and-slash with souls-like combat and strange MMO-like controls. Yeah, the controls might not be the best, but I guess you don't have many options when your game features so many different attack moves and combos. The controls are probably going to give you a little bit of trouble for the first few levels, but I think that you will get quickly used to the way the game is controlled. I can't really complain about anything else. The graphics might not be in the same league as some AAA eye-candy titles, but it doesn't have to be. This kind of fast-paced game doesn't need detailed graphics. The sound effects sound great and the music fits the mood of the game perfectly. The combat and character progression systems are very well designed and implemented. I think in this regard this game does feel comparable to any big titles of this genre. I really had a great time playing this game, just like as if I was playing some big budget ARPG. I think the author of this game should teach other indie developers how to design action oriented progression systems. We need more indie developers to be able to compete with the AAA game production.

easy mode = hardcore mode
