DRAGON BALL Z: KAKAROT

The story is great, and the gameplay is genuinely fun and exciting. I really enjoyed the combat and the overall experience. However, I absolutely hate the constant force closes. The game keeps crashing while I'm playing, making it impossible to enjoy. I've already tried every solution I could find on the internet, but nothing has fixed the problem. It still crashes frequently. It's incredibly frustrating because I really want to play and enjoy this game, but the constant crashes ruin the experience. A great game with a great story deserves better optimization and stability. I hope the developers address this issue soon.

Love this game, it's the best way to experience the story of Goku outside of the anime.

Let me start by saying this game is Amazing. I had a lot of fun playing through the story and even sub missions which can sometimes fill you in on characters lives and expands a lot of Dragon Ball character lore. From the beginning My intention from the start was a 100% achievement run and I completed it but I was loving some of the silly side missions and different aspects of the world they built. From fighting random enemies, gathering fruit and minerals to unlocking recipes just for better upgrades. If you haven't watched DragonBall Z and you want to get into it then this game will give you that but in a game. This game does however have its flaws. Grinding levels is pointless even though this is technically an rpg. You are better off just spamming meals and full course meals for stats and advantages. The cell saga cuts Vegeta's final flash scene completely and that's really disappointing considering it's Vegeta's defining moment for a new powerful attack. Let's end this on a good note. Despite small gripes it doesn't take away from how good this game is as a whole. The interactions with characters such as Bulma, Puar, Yamcha and more really takes you in depth showing different sides to the characters that aren't really expressed in the show. Playing this game on hard is my recommendation as you will have to utilize the meals and other things that you otherwise wouldn't need in easy. I plan to continue playing and I will be buying dlc. If I had to rate this in terms of a Dragon Ball game alone I would give it a 7.8. The content and overall experience carries and makes up for the final flash scene being cut but it does stop it from being a complete Dragon Ball experience and that cuts it short from being an 8.5 to a 9. As a game alone I give it a 7 just because it lacks the complexity of a real fighting game. It's more of a beat em up and mash 1 button type of game. I highly recommend this to any Dragon Ball fan and if you're looking to play a game and maybe dive into the story of Dragon Ball Z then this will be the best experience to do that in terms of a game. Be back when I buy and complete the future trunks dlc.
