DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA is Dragon Ball's first team-oriented free to play game.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.

This game would be one of the best online dragon ball games if the devs cared. Its a mobile game aswell as a multi platform game and you can really feel the negatives of that. The main problem is the matchmaking. Every single quick play match you play you will for sure have at least 1 bot teammate. Like a literal AI. It drives me crazy it makes almost every game unplayble. And the balancing is terrible but thats not shocking. There is also heavy preditory microtransactions. Can be so fun at moments but overall this is one of the worst dev teams i have ever expirenced and the game is just not worth investing time into.
I NEED TIEN!! GIVE ME TIEN!!! I....HATE...EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU!!! SO WHY...DO I....LOVE YOU??!!!
Developed by GANBARION Co., Ltd. and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA takes the legendary Dragon Ball universe in a fresh direction by embracing team-based multiplayer competition rather than the traditional one-on-one fighting format. Built as a free-to-play 4-versus-4 online action game, it blends the spectacle of Dragon Ball's high-speed combat with objective-focused strategy, encouraging players to work together instead of relying solely on individual skill. This shift in design creates a unique identity that separates the game from previous adaptations while still retaining the explosive energy fans expect from the franchise. The core gameplay revolves around coordinated team battles where players select from a roster of recognizable Dragon Ball characters, each filling a distinct battlefield role. Rather than simply defeating opponents, teams must secure objectives, strengthen their fighters throughout the match, and seize opportunities to overwhelm the enemy at critical moments. Characters gradually unlock greater power as matches progress, reflecting the dramatic escalation that defines Dragon Ball's most memorable battles. This progression system gives every match a satisfying sense of momentum, with early encounters evolving into spectacular clashes packed with signature techniques and devastating ultimate attacks. A standout feature is the emphasis on specialized character roles. Fighters are categorized into Damage, Tank, and Technical classes, giving each hero a meaningful purpose within the team. Offensive characters excel at eliminating opponents, defensive specialists absorb punishment while protecting allies, and Technical fighters provide tactical advantages through support abilities and crowd control. This structure rewards thoughtful team composition and communication, ensuring that victory depends on cooperation rather than simply choosing the strongest or most popular character. Players who enjoy strategic multiplayer games will likely appreciate the added depth created by these complementary roles. Customization also plays a significant role in extending the game's appeal. A variety of cosmetic options allow players to personalize their favorite characters through alternate appearances, stylish introductions, and unique finishing animations. These visual enhancements provide an incentive for continued play while preserving competitive balance, since they focus on presentation rather than gameplay advantages. Combined with progression systems that encourage long-term investment, the customization features help create a satisfying sense of ownership over each player's chosen heroes. Presentation is another area where the game performs exceptionally well. The vibrant visuals faithfully recreate the unmistakable art style associated with Dragon Ball, while fluid animations and dramatic visual effects capture the overwhelming scale of the series' iconic battles. Signature attacks are filled with explosive energy and cinematic flair, making even ordinary encounters feel exciting. Sound design further strengthens the experience through impactful combat effects and recognizable voice performances that reinforce the authenticity of the world. Together, these elements successfully recreate the excitement and larger-than-life atmosphere that fans expect from the franchise. The game is not without limitations, however. Players unfamiliar with multiplayer online battle arena mechanics may need time to understand map objectives, role responsibilities, and the importance of teamwork. Success depends heavily on coordination, making communication an essential part of competitive play. Like many online multiplayer titles, the overall experience can vary depending on matchmaking quality and teammate cooperation. In addition, its free-to-play structure naturally includes progression systems and cosmetic purchases that may not appeal to everyone, even if they do not overshadow the central gameplay experience. Despite these challenges, DRAGON BALL GEKISHIN SQUADRA succeeds in delivering a creative interpretation of one of gaming's most beloved anime licenses. Instead of repeating familiar formulas, it confidently explores a new genre while preserving the fast-paced action, spectacular powers, and memorable characters that define Dragon Ball. The combination of strategic gameplay, exciting character progression, impressive production values, and faithful fan service creates a multiplayer experience that feels both refreshing and authentic. While it may not replace traditional Dragon Ball fighting games, it offers an engaging alternative that stands comfortably alongside them. Rating: 7/10
Sencillo, divertido.
This game brings me unbridled rage.
I started playing this game when it released, and since then, this game has went nowhere but down. With every update and every new set of patch notes, they think to themselves; "how can we break the game more?" With the amount of horrific changes I've bore witness too, I'm totally and utterly convinced that the developers don't play their own game and there is no playtesting involved in the making of anything ever. Don't even get me STARTED on what they do whenever they add a new character. Because when they add a new character, they don't have the balance of the game in mind, and barely the enjoyment of the players. They use them as a marketing strategy-- which is fair, considering this is a free game and all of the non-cosmetics can be obtained without spending money, but oh my GOD do they try to convince you to cough up cash. Some recent, strong examples include 4th Form Frieza, Kid Goku, Bulma, Beerus, and Goku Black. All five of these characters have dominated the game on release (and still are, for the most part) and do everything their role is meant to do the best and MORE. Bulma can do technical things as a tank, 4th Form Frieza can do DPS things as a technical, Kid Goku can do technical things as a DPS, Beerus is anime accurate and Goku Black can cover for all three in-game roles with his zones applying debuffs, getting Immune To All with his Black Bind by using it within one of said zones ((BASE SKILL WITH A RELATIVELY LOW COOLDOWN THAT PULLS YOU WHEREVER HE PLEASES BY THE WAY)), and his Black Power Ball doing true damage to armor and HP which therefore makes it a nuclear bomb. I only still play this game because I have friends who do the same and I have a crippling addiction, but so help me god if they don't put together a proper balancing team and start fixing this game up fast, I don't think I'm going to be able to handle this for much longer. Every game this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Toshi touches just goes to the dumps. I'm not even going to get into the terrible marketing decisions they've been making with some of the limited-time cosmetics, because that's not the core of my frustration with this game. Please save Squadra.
actually the worst balanced game on the planet, game could be phenomenal if morons werent balancing the game
