Dragon Age: Origins - Ultimate Edition

The game is unplayable... I create my character and whenever I attempt to proceed, the game crashes all the time. Nothing seems to fix this issue. Since it doesn't work anymore, the game should have been delisted from the steam store.

Combat is pretty tedious and it's literally impossible to play without modding the game/ tailoring your settings. The game itself is still incredible and has one of the best fantasy worlds oat.

Very great game, and very often crashes too. Some outside help may help stabilize it during long sessions. As for the RPG elements this is well done, I can see the obvious Baldur's Gate I and II influence throughout, which is fitting since BioWare years ago made the first two games. Seeing the modern BioWare is unfortunate as the modern titles are nowhere near a fraction of greatness compared to Origins. And no I don't have nostalgia as this is the first I have ever played Origins. Only DLC I hated was the Golems of Amgarrak, that one was short but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ did it make it so clear not having a mage, Runic Golem is NOT a good substitute, in your party was torture, having to cheese two group fights. Beyond that the DLC is alright, Awakening was good and I liked the epilogue of Morrigan and my Warden in Witch Hunt. Will give 200 hours more in a future playthrough, maybe a Blood Mage. For now I am satisfied and recommend this to anyone who wants to understand why old BioWare is sorely missed.

Beautiful game, but I can’t recommend this version because of the constant technical issues and crashes on modern PCs. I paid for EA Play mainly to play it, and it ended up being unusable.

An era of games we wish would return, Sadly BioWare decided to stop being game devs.
