Dr. Lunatic Supreme With Steam

The gameplay is both fun and relaxing; it's sort of a cross between Gauntlet and Chips Challenge, though rarely becoming as difficult or stressful as either. The balance of simple combat and puzzles/exploration is addicting; if you're wondering why some people have 100+ hours, that's why. Well, that and the sound effects. HAMMER UP PANTS Highly recommended.

This game is awesome. I have an indefinite number of hours playing this.

Tenho ótimas memórias com este jogo. Joguei bastante a versão shareware de Dr. Lunatic vinda em um antigo CD-ROM há cerca de 20 anos atrás, aonde só pude jogar o mundo da floresta (Spooky Forest). Só fui jogar a versão completa de Dr. Lunatic durante a pandemia, e agora que o jogo está na Steam, decidi deixar meu suporte para os desenvolvedores, e minha mensagem de agradecimento por este jogo incrível que marcou minha infância. Agora falando sobre o jogo em si, este se trata de um jogo de ação topdown com quebra cabeças, elementos de collectathon (coleta de itens) e armamentos em cada fase para que o personagem possa completar cada nível do jogo. A progressão não é linear, você pode escolher qualquer um dos diversos mundos criados tanto pelos devs originais do jogo quanto pela comunidade que criou dezenas de mundos e fases nos anos iniciais em que o jogo "Dr. Lunatic Supreme with Cheese" foi lançado. O jogo possui algumas referencias e não é pra ser levado a sério, já que tem elementos de nonsense em vários pontos, e algumas fases podem ser bastante confusas em seus objetivos. Talvez não agrade a todos justamente por alguns níveis serem extremamente confusos ou punitivos (causar um softlock, forçar reinício de fase, e afins).

Honestly, part of my childhood and it deserve so much more. I remember playing this game a ton, I had the demo of the Supreme with cheese and it was so amazing that I used to replay it over and over again, I think I only had the tutorial levels and the shop but I used to walk through it over and over again, it felt really special. I am really glad I could've bought this game now, 15+ years later, I feel like I healed my child inside me. I am going to finish it and for me the game is still a 10/10.

the hit of nostalgia is fantastical

I'm pretty sure the sound effect for drowning is the creator saying "pshhh". You can't put a price tag on that kind of experience (although if you could, it might resemble the price tag of this game ;) ) This game is challenging, but fair. It offers you the option to improve your experience by making collectables easier to find via items in the SPISMall, alongside additional worlds and some minigames if a level is frustrating you. Worth every penny. Now if only Loonyland 2 CE were on Steam also...

To properly prepare for this bizarre childhood classic you'll need: Pants of power, plenty of Chinese take out and as many hammers as you can throw. (Don't forget the keychains)

This game is so nostalgic to me. I remember playing the demo when we first got our family computer as a kid. I am so glad that Steam has SO MANY extra levels. It is such a fun game that I have been enjoying since the early 2000s.
