Doughlings: Arcade est un jeu de type Arkanoid dont le but est de soigner tous les Doughlings avec une balle de cure. Au fur et à mesure de l'aventure, de nouveaux ennemis apparaitront (comme des Doughlings pétrifiés ou des Doughlings fantôme qui se téléportent par exemple). Pour contrer cela, vous aurez également des pouvoirs qui vous permettront de changer la donne comme le Gunner qui vous permet de tirer en plus de la balle ou Spider qui vous permet d'avoir 2 balles au lieu d'une. Chaque pouvoir a également une capacité spéciale, comme celui de base qui change un groupe de Doughlings de même couleur au lieu d'un seul ou le Robot qui tire un rayon laser. À travers plus de 75 niveaux, vous aurez le temps de bien appréhender les différents pouvoirs et ennemis. Dans chaque niveaux se trouvent des étoiles que vous aurez à ramasser afin de récupérer de l'ADN pour améliorer vos différents pouvoirs. J'aime beaucoup les jeux de type Arkanoid et celui-ci m'intriguait. En y jouant au début je me suis dit qu'il était sympa mais au fur et à mesure de mes parties, j'ai constaté une sorte de lassitude. Je n'ai pas vraiment retrouvé cet aspect Arkanoid que j'apprécie, celui de bien viser avec lorsqu'on réussit bien une balle d'avoir des bonus qui arrive comme une multiballe à garder ou une super balle qui se met à tout détruire d'un seul coup (ça y est ne vous en faites pas, mais la sensation est différente, notamment car les ennemis ont besoin de plusieurs coups pour disparaître). Au final, à la fin je ne visais que les étoiles pour me dire que j'ai finis le niveau, sans vraiment chercher à vaincre tout le monde. En soit le jeu n'est pas mauvais car il propose plein de concept et plusieurs variations de gameplay. Cependant malgré ses couleurs, j'ai finis par le trouver un peu fade à force. 12/20
