It's one of the most beautiful games I've ever played, the stamina and sleep restrictions are not that annoying, it's not grindy and I like the mechanics like farming and mining and stuff. I really love that you can switch between activities, like farming or mining or better yet gathering stuff and it's different each season! And seasons are so beautiful and each has its own mechanics. However, in a lot of ways it is very frustrating and just not good - for example, personal requests are not tracked at all. Meaning, and characters ask you to get them stuff often, there is no record about that so you either remember which is impossible, or just plain forget and loose interactions and affection or reward. The quest events or some mechanics have zero hints and I have no idea how to complete some quests, like saving a doggy - it says I need some gloves, and then zero interactions or hints on how to do that, just silence. In addition, it has a mind numbing almost 2 h of cutscenes intro when you either has to sit for 2 h mashing buttons or just plain skip everything and hope you didn't miss anything important. Also no info on store schedule except on the storefront - there are a lot of stores/locations, but you either go and try to be lucky that they are open or just write it on paper? Like yea, in the end it's no biggy it's gonna resolve itself somehow in the course of the game or you can google the solution, still a bit frustrating. And for the store schedule I'v got a mod, it's a lifesaver. Otherwise probably my first cozy game I play so long and really don't get tired.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Jul 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I bought Doraemon: Story of Seasons as a way to practice Japanese since the game has furigana and a simple style. For that purpose, it works. But as a game, I was quickly disappointed. There is almost no real sense of progression. You can upgrade tools and stamina, but the upgrades feel meaningless. For example, I improved the watering can expecting a big difference, but the new mechanic (holding the button to water multiple tiles) takes about the same time as just clicking tile by tile, and it doesn’t reduce stamina use at all. Most of the playtime is consumed by repetitive chores: watering fields, running back and forth across the map, waiting on slow upgrades. The routine feels stretched out and monotonous, and instead of a rewarding loop it just becomes tiring. I didn’t play for long, but already it felt dull, with no excitement that I was building something or moving forward. The art and atmosphere are nice, and I appreciate the Japanese text with furigana, but as a farming sim it left me bored very fast. Verdict: Visually charming, good for language study, but gameplay is shallow and monotonous. I don’t want to give it another chance.
This game is a straight infusion of Dopamine to the soul! It doesn't matter whether you're a previous fan of SoS/Harvest Moon/Doraemon because the game is simple enough as a friendly introduction to either franchise. Just like with previous Harvest Moon games, Doraemon SoS does a great job encouraging the player to feel invested in a community. It's such a wholesome theme being stranded in a picturesque watercolor world and then slowly building up trust and friendship with the various residents throughout the year and have it culminate in a heartwarming bond as the smaller plot lines converge into the main story. Personally, I am a huge fan of Rem and Harmon (the others are great too)! They are very wholesome characters that fit many positives tropes and just come off as very endearing throughout the whole game. Rem's character in particular shines through as you can really tell from the cut scenes and day-to-day interactions how much she really loves all animals. The soundtrack is also amazing! The music actually gets even better into the second half of the year (Fall & Winter). In my opinion, the musical pleasantry is back-loaded in the game and something I was craving HARD after cycling through the first in-game year. It made me want to take my time during Winter to really let it soak in. There are a couple of small issues that I encountered, but nothing that would break my happy streak in this game. Firstly, Noby is noisy as hell when mining. You get used to it, but I'm glad they fixed it for the next game. Second, inventory management felt a bit off for me due to limited space AND the method of selling goods (you open the shipping box with a different key from directly selling stuff). Lastly, depending on how you upgrade your home and progress relationships in the game, the (VERY CUTE) horse may become irrelevant very quickly with the introduction of the Anywhere Door and (later on) the Human Locomotive. The horse needs more appreciation! I truly recommend this game to anyone who wants to get started with Story of Seasons games as it has a lighter set of features compared to regular SoS games. Of course, this game is also ideal to everyone interested in Doraemon whether you are familiar with the franchise or not. Buy it!
