Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 18.43/day in the week to Jul 30 → 27.86/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I beat DOOM Eternal back several years ago on another storefront (MS). After recently replaying DOOM 2016, I decided to follow it up with a replay of Eternal. Playing them back-to-back reveals why I don't like Eternal: It makes me feel like instead of fighting demons, I'm fighting the developers. DOOM 2016 told you to grab your favorite gun, shoot some demons, and enjoy the fireworks. DOOM Eternal DEMANDS that you will shoot THESE demons in THIS order with THAT gun at THAT weakpoint - or you will die. It never feels like I'm playing DOOM Eternal on my own terms. It feels like I'm trying to fit into the mold of how specifically the developers wanted all players to play DOOM Eternal, and then feeling continually like it's never quite a perfect fit. It's exhausting. To be clear - I'm not talking about difficulty. Eternal is definitely harder than 2016, but it's also the TYPE of difficulty. In Doom you moved around to prevent being ganged up on. In Eternal if you stop for even a moment you will turn around and see 8 imps launching a fireball at you. In 2016 enemies spawned in a fairly obvious way. In Eternal you will somehow constantly find that you are being shot in the back by something that either just appeared or navigated to get there. In 2016 certain weapons were better for certain types of encounters and enemies. In Eternal enemies are designed to be killed by ONE weapon with ONE mod in a specific way, and if you don't conform you will find your very limited ammo dry up and accomplish nothing. Even with max ammo upgrades, you'll find ammo is pathetically low, enough that certain weapon mods are borderline useless due to it. To pile on to this - Doom Eternal has infinite respawning enemies. If you're coming from 2016 and don't realize this, it can bite you HARD. Until the 'big' enemies are killed, stuff like zombies, mecha zombies, imps, soldiers and lost souls will spawn forever. There is 0 point in shooting them. It's even worse, you SHOULDN'T shoot them because doing so will drain your very limited ammo. Only engage with them if you're using the Belch or Chainsaw to get more supplies. Just to be clear: I just said that in a DOOM game - shooting some demons can literally be detrimental. DOOM Eternal is not difficult because there are a lot of enemies and they hit hard. It's difficult because there is a One True Way to play it, and if you don't follow that regimen exactly you're in to suffer. It's also a victim of its own complexity. In 2016 you had the selection of guns and 2 mods for each. In Eternal you have: * The guns + mods * Flame belch * Chainsaw (now for ammo drops) * Grenade launcher + ice variant * Air dash * Blood Punch This wouldn't be bad if it was semi-optional, but it's not. If you aren't using every one of those every time you can - you will die. You could get through 2016 completely ignoring the grenade/consumable. You can't do that here. It's too many buttons, pressed too fast, with too much ♥♥♥♥ going on at once. The maps are also much larger. This is nice, but comes with a downside - replaying them to try to get the one secret you missed can be very tedious. In 2016 it was always a breeze. DOOM Eternal's presentation is amazing. It's so clearly a step up from 2016 in terms of scale and quality. The maps are bigger, the setpieces are more incredible, the visuals are a huge step up, etc. But where it matters, the gameplay, I feel is a massive step downwards.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
