Don't Let Me Fade is an interactive adventure about memory, identity, and loss. Piece together fragments of a life - even if a simple teddy bear is the last symbol of connection to oneself in a world without time.
Revenue comes from in-game items and microtransactions, which our price-based model doesn't estimate. The player count below is how many people own it, not what they spent.
About
Don't Let Me Fade: adventure, interractive narrative [created in 48 hours as part of GG-jam 2025]
A narrative exploration game about memory, identity, and the slow unraveling of time.
Created during a 48-hour game jam, Don’t Let Me Fade invites players into a poetic and emotional journey through the mind of a man losing himself to Alzheimer’s.
The jam's theme, "A World Without Time," is interpreted here as a metaphor for Alzheimer’s - a fading world where memories slip away, and the boundary between past and present becomes unclear. Time has no meaning when memory itself is dissolving.
You play as an elderly man wandering through surreal, dreamlike environments stitched together from fragments of his memories… or is it his present reality?
As you explore, you’ll piece together the outline of a life once filled with love, family, joy - and inevitable loss. The man is searching for a teddy bear, convinced it’s his last remaining link to who he truly is.
Short narrative experience (~10–15 minutes)
Interactive story fragments reveal themselves as you explore
No combat or puzzles - just presence, memory, and atmosphere
Simple first-person movement through fading spaces
An atmospheric, emotionally layered soundtrack by Aink aka. Anna Glaid guides you through the shifting tone of the journey - from warmth and clarity to uncertainty and silence. The tracks Forget-Me-Not and Why does the heart beat were composed and recorded entirely during the jam.
A fragile farewell to memory, identity, and everything we hold dear.
Will you remember what he cannot?
Play now, and step into a fading world.

💗 This game was gifted to Indie Therapy for review. This was a very short but surprisingly touching experience. I haven’t personally dealt with Alzheimer’s in real life, but the atmosphere, writing, and especially the music made the theme feel painfully real in a way I didn’t expect from such a tiny game. It has this quiet, heavy mood that sticks with you even after it ends. It only took me about 6 minutes to play through, but those minutes were meaningful. The soundtrack in particular really elevated the experience and did a lot of emotional heavy lifting. For a free game made during a 48-hour game jam, it’s impressive how much feeling it manages to convey in such a short time. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the mood for something reflective and emotional.
an indescribable experience, this game is both terrifying and beautiful at the same time....nothing is eternal

Egy nagyon rövid, mindössze 10 perces játék, amely mégis egy értelmes üzenetet hordoz.
English:
A very short game, lasting just 10 minutes, that nevertheless conveys a meaningful message.
Short but creative game that deals with memory, time, and love. Spend time with your parents!
You know, sometimes you read a book and get so deeply immersed, so emotionally involved, that what really matters is what stays with you after it’s over. This game feels the same way. An elusive feeling of grief and immense, overwhelming love at the same time. Just ten minutes - yet an entire lifetime.
They did an amazing job conveying what it feels like to live with Alzheimer’s. The music deepens the immersion even more. A small game, but one with real meaning.

A game that leaves you stunned and reflecting on eternity. A powerful, top-tier portrayal of Alzheimer’s. 1000/10.
I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this game. It does an excellent job getting it's message across. I'm a big fan of game jam games, so bonus points there too. If you have 5-10 minutes to spare, check this one out.
Such a beautiful, short yet meaningful game.
