It is super sweet and good idea, but the game loop is just boring. You have to throw food to feed hungry dogs. Sometimes you need to click on something else. After you feel the rhythm, it gets pretty easy and becomes extremely boring.

Not a lot of games about sled dogs, very simple gameplay loop and the dogs are cute.

Boring gameplay and super repetitive. Most games like this implement new game features at a pretty brisk and regular pace. But this one just keeps you doing the same 2-3 things over and over again. I expected more of a management type game, but there are pretty much no choices to be made.

Dog Sled Saga is a wonderfully charming management sim that masterfully balances cozy pixel-art aesthetics with surprisingly deep gameplay mechanics. While the core loop of timing treat-tosses to keep your team energized is intuitive and satisfying, the game truly shines in its kennel management, where you must navigate the unique personalities, skills, and faults of each individual dog. It avoids the stress of many sports simulators by focusing on the heartfelt bond between musher and team, offering a rewarding progression system of league races, sponsorships, and puppy breeding. Whether you’re a fan of strategy or just looking for a relaxing winter escape, it is an incredibly polished indie gem that captures the spirit of the trail with both warmth and challenge. 10/10

This is a fun game. Unfortunately it doesn't matter, because of the bugs with saved data. My file has been entirely erased one time and had weeks of progress erased (I lost a whole other dog I trained up) due to bugs. I cannot recommend this to anyone unless you don't care if you have to constantly try to restore your save data.
