PROS -Music pretty good -I like stage 6 boss's design CONS -Missing a LOT of features and modes compared to previous steam port!! -No arrange, no practice, removed novice -Game balance seeems(?) different to original It's kind of strange that there's no practice mode -NO replays????? -Online mode is only really populated in JP right now, you mostly just get bots -Severe layering issues in the multiplayer mode! Things such as "dodge challenge" text appears above bullets, and the general increased chaos doesn't do too much to improve the game in ways the multiplayer component was seemingly supposed to -AI localization is at best tolerable ??? -Music sometimes fails to play (stage 2/4/5 bosses) -Volume settings are per game and there's no master volume -Game crashed when trying to turn off fullscreen . . . I'm not sure 25 bucks can be justified here this would NOT be mostly negative if it was a lackluster port of something they DIDN'T already put on steam 10 years ago if you're gonna put out something you already put out, it needs to not be a straight downgrade
Cave must have uploaded the wrong build because this piece of ♥♥♥♥ is almost the same price of an already existing port and I was able to experience all the content it had in 60 minutes(accept for maybe loop 2 stage 6) and I can confidently say there is no reason to buy this. Glorified dlc and a pretty mid one at that.

"NOT DEAD YET." It's dead.
I like DDP. This is a poor release. This isn't even Early Access quality. This remake of a remake is worse than what it's remaking. Pros: Shmup Cons: Game crashes sometimes Alt+tab doesn't always but sometimes breaks the game No ability to set your windowed mode resolution Missing most of the features of the remake this is a remake of No practice mode No replays No arrange mode No Black Label Art assets look worse than DDP Resurrection likely because the resolution is so low I can't even see the details on the maps, anything happening in the opponent windows in BR mode or the avatars and emblems Avatars are just weird BR mode coin lootbox gacha things? can't see them anyway so who cares Can't back out of matchmaking queue. You are stuck forever until you Alt+F4 Matchmaking queue may break and you are stuck waiting on a match forever. Oh well guess it's time to Alt+F4 again Conclusion: I hope they can enlist their AI translator to take this feedback and improve the release to a playable state so I can buy the game again. For now, refunded. Vote with your wallet. DoDonPachi Resurrection > DoDonPachi Resurrection Reignite and it's not even close
以前の移植作よりしょぼい構成 二度目のくせにバグだらけ 買う価値なし
The game indeed lacks the modes and features of the old release. Essentially has 1.5 version and the Battle Royale mode, for now. But i think it`s worth it for the battle royale, it adds a new layer to the genre, it is truly fun and marks Cave's return to arcade shmup dev. The new level is amazing, very well made, with very nice patterns and can be routed or raw dodged. It feels a bit like a cross between DaiFukkatsu, Mushi Futari and Espagaluda. The final boss of the 6th level feels straight off futari but fresh and a blast to fight. The music is also great in the new level, with what might be the best tracks in the whole game. The assist mode is great for beginners and quite innovative, keeping the game the same but giving gameplay advantages to make it easier to survive. I suspect this is a market test, they asked themselves if they could make some dough our of the genre in this age and i hope the answer is yes, so they continue coming back to it. It is worth it even if you own the old version and i hope it sells well. I am also sure they will add modes and features as time goes by, adding more value to that purchase price. And maybe this battle royale mode goes in Mushihimesama ? Or they port Mushihimesama Futari because there is a market still ?
It's a little undercooked for the price if you're here for the complete package, but worth the price of entry for the battle royale mode. It's absolutely deranged and worth every penny. Think Cave shooter meets Mario Kart and it's as insane as that sounds. Basically get this if you're looking for a novel way to play DoDonPachi. Not an archival version with all the bells and whistles.
Lack content and no training mode in the arcade mode in big 2k26
