Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Jul 23 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It says you can play with 8 GB of RAM but it's just barely playable at all on the smallest size with 16 if you shut down absolutely everything else you can, after waiting an hour for it to generate a world because it was trying to eat more than the whole 12 I had free for it.

Very detailed logistical heavy game, my advice is run it through the early stages a few times toying with the automation to find a way of playing that is fun for you, for me having detailed control of your fleets, allowing pretty complex strategies, you can design your own ships, specialise them etc. A major plus is that unlike a lot of other 4X games, if you are opportunistic you can come from a long way behind to win the game, in my experience in other games if you get behind, specifically in technology its over. Here I overcame significantly more advanced fleets and it makes the game fun. Cons, I'd say that the AI needs to be far more aggressive and strategic, this game is at its most fun when you make the starting conditions as hard as possible for yourself and have to play catch up. Looking forward to the upcoming expansion
This game has some really cool features, like an AI that helps you micromanage everything. What's great is that you can choose what you want to manage and what you prefer to focus on, which is really helpful because the game is so immersive. At times, it can get a bit overwhelming, especially when you're managing a large empire. What I really love about this game isn't just its unique concept, but also the battles. When a war breaks out, there are tons of battles happening all at once. Not many space strategy games offer an experience like this. You can recreate battles reminiscent of Star Wars, Star Trek, Mass Effect, and many more. I remember wiping out an entire species that fired lasers resembling the Reapers from Mass Effect at Sol. And when I encountered the Hive, it reminded me of the Tyranid faction from Warhammer with their purpose of consuming everything in their path. As for my AI policy settings, I turned off auto-war with factions. Sometimes, I design my own ships to maximize their usage. For the best experience, I create several fleets and manually control a few key ones. You can even create massive fleets with unlimited capacity, but the downside is that your GPU may slow down, and it could cause your empire to go bankrupt! What I really need to highlight to the developers is that it would be great to see each race's ship designs in the startup menu or to allow slight modifications to the original designs. Another suggestion would be to enhance race customization. The storyline is good, but it could use a little more depth. For example, when the Shakturi arrive, adding a more cinematic vibe would be cool. Also, what if failing to defeat them had consequences? And if we do beat them, we could earn something unique as a reward. Introducing another crisis or endgame challenge after the Shakturi would help keep the story flowing and add even more excitement.
Patches have improved the game and its one of the most detailed space empire sims you could hope for. I still wouldn't recommend, Its just too much going on you cant keep track of, half the time i have no idea wtf is happening. I want to play a game not get a PHD to understand the systems here. The UI is pretty terrible also.
I'm way too dumb to play this game.
gud
Ok, 30 minutes "intro" read into mostly automated progress with useless menus and a lack of manual control, confusing instead of being interested with this kind of game start to dive further
Vanilla is better than Stellaris in every way, as a simulation just wish modding it was as feasible as Stellaris :( where's my power fantasy furries
Extremely early impressions, just comparing to the little I played of DW:U: - The interface of DW2 is absurdly better. Some stuff requires more clicks than it probably should, but at least it's very easy to find everything, and it's generally pretty informative. - The economy seems to make more sense than DW:U - at least I don't feel like the private sector is just throwing their money at my feet for no reason to the same extent (though they still do it to a degree), and the distribution of resources seems more interesting in general. - The options for a slower paced game like the type I tend to enjoy seem to work better here so far. All in all, I was never a big fan of DW:U, but DW2 improves a lot upon it. The problem, for me, is that I never feel like there's real actual decision to be made. You'll explore everything you can explore, you'll colonize every planet that can be colonized, you'll build mining bases everywhere that can be mined. I don't get a sense that I'm juggling decisions between this or that.
