I own the game on the Nintendo Switch. My Steam hours are not representative of my total playtime and I am still using my original Switch save as of typing this review thanks to Gameloft's cloud save. The game itself is very entertaining. On the basis of that alone I would recommend it. If you enjoy decorating a dreamlike valley full of Disney-Pixar characters, doing little quests for them and befriending both film favorite heroes and villains, this game is perfect for you. Put simply it IS a fun game and there is a TON of free content to unlock. You'll be occupied for days and still have tons of stuff left to do, even if you have loads of free time. However, and this is where the caveat comes in, you should not be buying ANY game like this if you are an impulse-buyer. For someone like me, ignoring microtransactions is easy. I can live my life without them, but even I spend more money on this game than I probably should. Someone with no control who wants "everything" they can get from the premium shop would be an easy mark for predatory monetization like this. Yes, it's all cosmetic. You don't NEED Lady's house from Lady and the Tramp, you don't NEED Prince Eric's pet dog Max from the Little Mermaid series and you don't NEED an outfit for Ursula that makes her look like her "Vanessa" disguise so she can walk on land, but you might want all of them because, admittedly, they're all quite cool. So you might be tempted to buy in, get a "moonstone pack", maybe a few more. You should not. Restraint is important. You are not missing out on anything, the content rotates back in eventually. If you cannot control your impulse to buy, you are better off playing something that does not specifically target people like you. I know that probably sucks if you really like the look of the game, and I hate to tell someone who wants to play it they shouldn't because it IS a fun game and I love playing it, but you're a cute little bunny rabbit eyeing a carrot dangling over a spike pit. Don't leap for it, little bunny. The carrot isn't the treat. You are.
