If reddit was a video game
"...Я не могу поверить, что встретила тебя. Я не могу поверить тому счастью, что ощущаю рядом с тобой. Твоя душа необъятна, и я всегда, ВСЕГДА, ВСЕГДА буду возвращаться за ней"
Absolute literature
I do not understand the politics of this game, but I do understand being a fat chud drunk trying to hold onto something that wants to be let go. I also understand that a friend can make being a fat chud drunk a lot easier. This game will make you feel things. I think about it a whole lot. 10/10
5 years! (of this game stinking up my game library, refunding it and then having it gifted back to me), multiple motivated attempts at fresh restarts & over 11hrs of my time wasted. I give up now. I just can't get into this game whatsoever, the opening sequence on every single occasion is a monumental slog that is so slow and boring- my eyes begin to get heavy from the combination of exhaustive clicking, mindless roaming & listening to a horrible narration exacerbated with the plethora of miserable character conversations. The writing really isn't worth all the praise it gets in my opinion; it tries to be witty, striking, bleak and nuanced but it just reeks of targeted admonishment for the player that has no understanding what the actual ♥♥♥♥ is going on in this communist plagued ♥♥♥♥ heap of a city. Our main character is truly the worst part of all; he is honestly abhorrent with no sense of relatability whatsoever (unless you are a chronically depressed alcoholic with severe bouts of amnesia and hysteria) he is not likeable in the slightest. His myriad of actions leading up to and during the story, compounded with most of the possible dialogue options you can choose from just make him come across as a whimsical ♥♥♥♥♥♥ whom by the result of some sort of reality shattering cataclysmic event, lucked his way into becoming a police officer. Confusing, directionless, pointless. This one of the most egregious experiences I have ever had in a video game. Simply awful.
Es un juegazo 10/10 , debes tener VOLUNTAD y paciencia para pasarlo pero le doy una nota negativa por que la empresa se arruino a los que trabajaron en esta obra , ironico al final la maldicion les toco a ellos
Not every game asks for reflexes, some ask for thought and patience
Disco Elysium is one of the most unusual games I have ever played, and for that very reason, it is not for everyone. It is not an action game, but a game about reading, interpreting, and deciding what to do with every conversation, clue, and failure. What blew my mind the most was literally talking to my own skills, because it turns the protagonist’s thoughts into a central part of the experience and can easily consume hours of my time without me noticing. To me, that is where its real strength lies. I enjoyed it a lot because almost every dialogue made me feel like I was shaping my detective in a very personal way. I liked that feeling of playing something strange, brilliant, and sometimes exhausting at the same time. My warning is simple: if someone needs constant action or very little reading, they probably will not connect with it. I definitely recommend it, but above all to people who enjoy reading, thinking, and letting a game take them apart a little before they fully understand it.
A game that tries very very hard to convince its players that its thought-provoking and interesting. It reuses the same sarcastic format over and over to try to seem informed about a myriad of social topics, yet barely actually discusses them. When it comes to the actual gameplay, it's a glorified visual novel with awful movement, awful fast traveling, and a stale RPG system. The worst thing, however, must be how overhyped this game is by its fans. I would recommend this game only if you really have an itch to play a detective game, but at that point you should just watch a show or read an actual book. This game is not deep, it's not complex. It has instead managed to fool those that can't see squabble for what it is.
Ouugggghhhhhh It's soooo goooood *rubs Disco Elysium shaped belly* 9/10
i would publicly have nice things to say about this game if ZA/UM wasn't pure evil
