Desktop Cat Cafe

I can't recommend this at all. It's buggy as HELL, and I know for a fact it's abandoned because I tried to talk with a dev over Discord for a while just to help them know all the bugs this game has, and that's what I was told. They're moving on from this game; there is no care to fix much about it. So it's... wow its just not good. I have a LONG post on the discussions page for this game listing all the bugs I ran into in real time, and it's not good. They fixed one that was connected to achievements on Steam, but the game itself didn't get any fixes. It's cheap; if you want to experience monotony, by all means this is that game. There's really nothing going on besides grinding out money and unlocking the next recipe. It's slow, it's laggy, it's ugly, it's hard to work with, its sound is bad, there's nothing here. I'm sad to say I spent so much time grinding the achievements out, but it's what I do. Don't get this game. I rarely say that, but it's just not enjoyable.

A cute game that I feel can have VERY confusing controls from the start. If you can get over that hurdle it’s a very cute game. Compared to other “idle-like” games, this one is a lower-tier for my experience. Takes up too much screen space, even at its smallest size, doesn’t exactly give you a full top-down view (like literally, it could benefit), leveling up seems a bit janky too. The game isn’t bad, but just make your call at the refund mark. I partially wish I did, but, stuck with it, might as well enjoy it for what it’s worth. Maybe you’ll unironically see my hours not change much,

(MIXED REVIEW) A cute idle game that does as advertised. I love cats. You make a cafe, you serve cats, they leave happy. They're all quite adorable. Easy to understand, simple to play. A little light on content, could use some improvement in that regard. The map is absolutely massive, but there is no real need for it to be as big as it is. If you just make new machines instead of swapping out old recipies for new ones, you'll still only use about half the land before you have all the achievements. I could really do without the "Pride" stuff included in the game. In fact I came very close to refunding the game BECAUSE of its inclusion. I'm here to play a cute game about running a cat cafe, I don't need your politics and sexuality forced in my face, thank you. Time and place, this aint it.

I can't in good conscious recommend this game, even if I'm currently going for all the achievements. It crashes more frequently the longer you play, and it seems like the coding for how each cat picks what they will order is messed up. If you have anything overlapping they will all pick a single "station" to order from, so if you're going for all pastries for example you have to set up a bunch of different tables far enough apart that they don't over lap, or you'll end up with one station not selling anything. When I first tried to set up a cute more aesthetic looking cafe area that made it impossible to do so while also progressing the game. It also takes up far too much of the bottom of the screen when you're zoomed in enough to see anything, if you want it up while working you will need to zoom out and then you can't see it well enough to enjoy the cute aesthetic.
