Update: Alright, the game does get old after a while. So did X-Com too back in the days but you have very little actual progression here. Maps drag on and on, one fight after another. I've hardly completed missions because there are so many fights in each (I visit every map location). Leveling up also becomes a drag. Difficulty is high initially but rather low when you have a team of experienced soldiers. Still not a bad game but its repetitive nature makes it unappealing later on. --- Original review: I got this game very cheap on a sale and it was definitely a good purchase. I think it mostly suffers from the bad reviews of the past because it's a rather pleasant experience. The only weak point so far is the story. You're thrown right into the game without much world building. Two soldiers receive a mission that doesn't make a whole lot of sense and then you get to travel around in a submarine FTL-style. The setting is rather cool though. Simply got to love postapocalyptic water worlds. So, on the overland map you move around your submarine to a randomly generated choice of destinations while managing your fuel and ship health. At each location you get a few options of what to do there. Either you get to fight a battle in X-Com manner, meet a merchant or you simply acquire an item and experience. Sometimes your submarine also just takes damage or you lose some fuel. You also get to manage your teams' stats, skills and looks on the overland map. And of course their equipment. It should be noted at this point that your characters also have different character classes which help to distinguish them a bit (each class has three extra skills). Fights are mostly about setting up ambushes before a fight starts. Unfortunately sometimes you just get very unlucky with deadly defensive turrets spawning under your team or an unexpectedly high number of enemies showing up (some of them are very nasty, especially snipers, heavy weapon guys with tons of HP, etc.). It can be frustrating if you're playing on hardcore difficulty. But the game is also rather forgiving in terms of damage. Your soldiers can take a few hits before they die. If your team is too beaten up to continue you may just want to abort the mission instead of pushing into the next room. In between fights your team collects loot automatically and always moves next to your team leader while going into overwatch mode if possible. That's pretty cool too. Hmm... I don't think there is more to say really. It's a pretty, relaxing and simple tactical combat game. If you like the screenshots then you will probably also enjoy the game. Worth the money in my opinion.

a very fun and creative turn based game, unique classes and quite decent difficulty options "id recommend going for hard if you played XCOM or XENONAUTS in the past" but super enjoyable and at a great price
A decent x-com lite, with an FTL style overworld map. Pretty good!
Good.
Franchement pas terrible, je regrette mon achat
berry good
Not great, not bad. Kinda bare, the dialogue in combat is annoying, story is meh, game play is ok... enemies are kinda repetitive but again it's not awful but it's not great.
I didnt really care for the cover system. I felt like I couldnt ever figure out how to get a good angle on someone.
