Reviews
Didn't like it at all. The story is nonsense and the way to interact with objects is too pretty bad.

Deliver Us The Moon establishes a gripping science fiction mystery by tasking a lone astronaut with restoring a global energy supply after a sudden, catastrophic blackout. This haunting premise effectively heightens the inherent tension of lunar isolation, forcing players to confront the silence of a once-bustling colony through its eerie corridors. Holographic recordings scattered throughout the desolate stations serve as powerful narrative tools, allowing for visceral glimpses into the final moments of the moon’s inhabitants. These clever projections successfully breathe life into past characters, ensuring their motivations remain clear even as the player navigates the abandoned, dimly lit research facilities alone. Mechanical depth arises from the versatile ASE unit, which acts as a multifunctional companion capable of navigating tight vents and accessing remote terminal systems. Relying on this robotic partner during complex sequences provides a welcome layer of interactivity that meaningfully integrates with the game's broader scientific and technical aesthetic. Traversing the lunar surface often feels hampered by imprecise movement controls, which unfortunately create an unwanted sliding sensation reminiscent of navigating on ice. Such instability occasionally forces an unnecessary, repetitive effort during long walking sections, ultimately dragging down the otherwise consistent pacing of this otherwise well-constructed cosmic thriller. Invisible boundaries surrounding prominent landmarks like the golden domes feel surprisingly restrictive, hindering the natural curiosity that the expansive, grey horizon otherwise encourages. Encountering these artificial constraints alongside a punishing oxygen depletion system can lead to rushed decision-making, which occasionally detracts from the quiet joy of investigating detailed environmental secrets. Specific puzzles involving delicate dial adjustments require excessive mouse sensitivity, transforming what should be a logical sequence into a trial of patience and frustration. Balancing these cumbersome tasks against the broader, more intuitive rocket launch sequences reveals a distinct unevenness in how different challenges demand player focus and precision. Overall, this contemplative journey succeeds by prioritising evocative storytelling and immersive atmosphere over flawless mechanical execution, despite persistent issues with character physics and navigation. Those seeking a profound and visually impressive mystery will find the lunar odyssey well worth the trip, provided they tolerate its minor technical hiccups.
