Functional, but utterly unremarkable. From the generic aesthetics to the limited gameplay, over all the amateurish voiceacting & predictable writing, this game really made me force myself to even finish it. Writing this as the end credits scroll, I can confidently say that this game has not left a lasting impression & that I will have forgotten every single thing about this game by the end of the month. This game has written itself and it's setting into a corner that the sequels cannot possibly hope to rectify. It is mystifying to me how a game as unispired and a plot as by-the-numbers as this one has spawned not just one, but two sequels, while games like Event[0], The Station, ECHO or Adr1ft languish in obscurity, with their teams & studios scatttered and disbanded. It may be a fledgeling studios breakout game, but so are many games, many of which are leagues more imaginative, more insightful & more engaging. Look for them - elsewhere.

Dude i freekin hate FPS games and this game is marketed as thrid person but as soon as i started the game it was in FPS without having a way to disable it or at least toggle it to third person, screw this game ffs just take your freekin negative vote and be happy about it.
The game is AMAZING. It's calming but also adventurous. You do have trail and error screaming at you from time to time but the best way to learn is from your mistakes. Anyone who loves sci-fi games or just anything space related, this is for you. AD ASTRA PER ASPERA
It's good, but very short. Later part of the game is also very poorly optimized. I would only recommend buying it if it's on sale (less than 10€).
It's not a bad game but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who llikes hard sci-fi., maybe I shouldn't have gone in expecting it. Worth it only on a big sale. When it comes to the mood, the fact that gravity seems to depend on the presence of air for some reason was putting me away often. There are also some holes in the story and logic behind it that make me scratch my head. Game-wise the puzzles feel way too easy and there are issues with raytracing causing heavy stutter unless you completely turn it off which is an issue that seems to be there for a long time and wasn't fixed.
The story / setup of events does not make any logical sense at all and the "puzzles" are tedious and annoying slogs. If you are bored out of your mind and this is on sale for <5 bucks, its an option.
This is far from a perfect game. But it while it is lacking in some areas in production quality and polishing it 100%delivers on the atmosphere. A well told story which draws you in very quickly and doesn't let you go. If you have any interest in space exploration, give this one a go.
I'll try to be fair and brief: this is a walking simulator with very limited gameplay, and a lot of force-fed story. There are numerous immersion breaking mechanics: a 3 minute air supply on your space suit, earth gravity indoors on the moon, but 1/6th outdoors, and so on. If you did not like Observation or The Invincible, steer clear of this one.
