A simple but addictive game. Perfect for passing time. Great soundtrack too!
Chill. Its what i want to be when i grow up
So basically Interstellar, but with less logic, less complexity, and less value. To give an idea of how the game is, it starts off with you running around turning valves, opening shutters, flipping switches, and getting this rocket ready, that they have been working on for 4 years to prepare. Why weren't these things done ahead of time? Well, this functions as an early tutorial in a way so ok passable. Next, your racing against time to arm your rocket and prepare it for launch before this DUST STORM destroys the rocket and everything you've been working for. Ok so the rocket has sat here for 4 years during preparations, and this ominous and eventual dust storm just so happens to wreak havok on launch day. Ok... well, lets assume for a second that operations had to proceed ASAP due to the dust storm taking place today, and this pushed deadlines and created a sense of urgency. Ok, lets go with that so we can continue with the game and be able to enjoy what it's trying to present. But wait, this DUST STORM, definitely not taken from Interstellar and recycled into a story component is going to absolutely shred this rocket and destroy everything you've worked for... for 4 years. We need to HURRY and launch this tin can into the deep vacuum of space, breaking through the firmament and earth's atmosphere, with such intense pressure and hazardous particulates that have prevented us from breaching earth's orbit, but this dust storm is the only thing keeping us from the potential salvation of the earth. What salvation you ask? Well, there is this gas on the moon (helium 3?) and it took them less than a decade to create sophisticated technology to be able to assimilate and harness this gas into a power-beam of pure energy that can be warped to satellites. Yea, like big ol' radar domes, and these domes harness the power and it fuels the entire planet. Literally satellite tv dishes which extract this energy. Well the whoops is, they didnt have a plan B in place, so they lived off of this radar-charged energy for 5 years, and then it suddenly ran out without warning or indication, and no one knows why. Sounds to me like someone was sleeping on the job? I mean, it sounds like they deserved this... who doesn't do normal checks? Gives an all-clear? Provides around the clock status reports and comes up with other means of communication or a plan B on power reserves? Well, we will never know, because the folks on the Moon have now gone radio silent. And you think this would cause the entire world to come together for a common solution. Nah, its just this rag-tag group of freedom fighters, utilizing old tech, jumpstarting this rocket, breathing life back into our last glimmer of hope. The rest of the world is off, living in dust storms, working to put food on the table, living by candle light, and stocking up on triple A's. Yep, its all up to you, and not only have those who contributed to the collapse of earth as a viable resource capable of sustaining life, they also seem to want no part in resolving said matters. Note to this female astronaut, the inhabitants of earth are probably a lost cause, and surprised they have made it this far. They did somehow manage to harness gas as an energy source on the moon, and retrofit satellite TV domes as conduits, but that sounds like it was total luck at this point. Who knows, maybe there's some hidden layer I haven't considered, but will let someone in the comments educate me. And what's with that last communication received from HQ, "and please, remember, deliver us the moon". Wow, that doesn't make sense but it sounds cool, and that's totally the name of the game!! For a better "Delivering of the moon" experience, play Emissary Zero :)
This game reminded me a little bit of "Stray" but in space. You explore a moon base and learn of its story by collecting vocal transmissions, reading documents and watching holograms. All of this while sovling puzzles and trying to get the base back online.
