Delirium

Short, but sweet. Writing is very good, as well as the atmosphere, which is Lovecraftian. Feels like playing one of his short stories!

Bohužel jsem už viděl mnohem ambicióznější a povedenější projekty o jediném vývojáři, než je tenhle. Kvůli tomu nemohu hru hodnotit příliš pozitivně, protože v téhle kategorii v podstatě spadá do podprůměru. Hra je příliš krátká, přes polovinu času trávíte jen čtením a fakticky obsahuje jediné puzzle. Příběh je takový na domyšlení, hráč nemá k dispozici moc faktů, ačkoliv pokud najdete a přečtete veškeré knihy, v celku to dává smysl. Grafická stránka mohla být lepší, hra na jednu stranu obsahuje mnoho pozoruhodných detailů (různě poházené papíry s poznámkami, funkční hodiny na stěně apod.), na druhou stranu některé textury jsou rozmazané a v nízkém rozlišení, a to celkový dojem kazí. Zvuky nejsou špatné, ale opět, mohlo to být lepší. Hlavně mi chyběl nějaký hudební podkres, který by pomohl k dosažení té správné strašidelné atmosféry. Protože to, co je ve hře teď, na to jednoduše nestačí. Laciný a očekávatelný jumpscare ke konci hry jen potvrzuje, že si vývojář s originalitou hlavu příliš nelámal.

Delirium unfortunately falls short in almost all areas here. The gameplay consists of two main puzzles (which are both the same, two keypad puzzles to be exact.) The story isn't intriguing enough, in my opinion, and to find out what is actually going on, you must read numerous books. This has the player reading the whole time, instead of experiencing the plot/environment. I came across a bug in the basement which froze the game, I restarted to find out what else could be down there, turns out that was it. The End. I'm sorry but I cannot recommend this game to anyone.

While graphics are decent, it is much too dark for someone with eyesight like mine. I have a hard time distinguishing where to go and items when it's this dark. The other main issue is for the life of me I could not find the passcodes and where to go. There's also too much reading with the books, keep it concise. Short and sweet is what I would recommend for notes, not drabble. I couldn't finish it, but it looks good and it's free so I'm not up in arms about it.
