I love this game and the main DRG too, both games are great, but i hate the time limit, that's literally the WORST thing that could exist in the game, it would be okay if it was 20 minutes on 2 hazard level and normal difficulty, but right now it just absolutely ruins the whole game, completing a mission in less than 12 minutes is literally impossible if you want to mine all the exponite, collect all the upgrades and complete the side missions (it's especially dumb because the main xp you get from the mission is from the exponite you have collected, but you can't collect much because there is no time), even when i have 15 mins i usually go to the next stage when there's less than 1 minute left. I'm begging you to make the time limit be 20 minutes on 2 hazard level and normal difficulty, or at least stay 15 minutes regardless of the hazard level and difficulty. The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worms that spawn after the time limit runs out should not exist. Overall, the game is very good, almost everything is perfect except the rime limit, death worms, and some weapons being absolute garbage (like the main game's engineer's shotgun). There should be more upgrades, bosses, customization added, death worms removed, garbage weapons re-balanced, time limit extended to 20 minutes at 2 hazard level and normal difficulty, and the game will become perfect. People who argue about the game being "too hard" should just go play DRG on easy difficulty, because for this game the difficulty is perfect (except the time limit). Some people are talking abut the fact that there is no such thing as "builds" for each class and no essential interaction between the crew members on missions, but making diffirent "builds" is weird and not needed even in DRG, in most cases you just find the best weapons available for a class, buy the best upgrades for it and use the same weapons pretty much all the time, and here you also find the best weapons and just try to choose them when they are available and then pick the upgrades that you think are the best, also there is pretty much interaction between classes if you are playing with your friends through discord. Many other people are just saying some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ that i don't want to write about.
Bin deep rock Galactic Veteran aber habe an diesem roquelite viel spaß. also.... smoke them as you got them ;)
It's very fun. The fast pace mining feels good and the class abilities are satisfying. I'd love to see melee weapons or something cool with melee. Much love to the devs.
Finding this fun so far :D I hope to see it progress nicely! difficult at times, great fun to play coop with :) Runs perfectly no lag on full with my specs. Rock and Stone !
Even with a somewhat interesting launch, Rouge Core has been a wonderful time for me. Truth be told I didn't play the base game a whole lot and only got the game to play with my drg-headed friend. Now however, i now almost everything about the game, have all the achievements and have more hours than my friends combined, and it was worth it. Overall, the game actually isn't too much of a rougelite as winning a run can be determined from the beginning, like getting slicers best bio booster early which can solo a D-4 run. I don't think of this as a bad thing however as it almost makes the game its own type of rougelite where rather than snowball, you fish for a win condition which can both make the experience easier, or harder. I think the characters however, is one of the most consistent things of the game that the devs did really well. Not only are there more choices than the base game but they are all extremely balanced in my opinion. Each class has a very high chance to perform well in runs as long as the player understands how they work. Of course they aren't fully equal as classes like Slicer and Guardian have abilities that can overperform consistently, but that doesn't mean the others can't. Also female dwarves in drg is a very welcome addition The game is fun, just like the base game, but the gameplay is still very different between the two, especially the pacing. I recommend, especially for base game players, even if online discussion has you think otherwise.
rock and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ stone baby
I have mixed feelings of this game. I will give this games a recommended because I see some real improvements from the devs. I think that there is some really good potential in this game. I just wish that the game would not have come out in this state. There is not nearly enough content and replayability for this game to be justified to cost as much as DRG. I understand both games are live service games and DRG has been around for years but man, compared to DRG, there is a astronomical amount of content in that game than there is this. The balancing is a little bit of a mess compared to some characters (retcon turret build :) ), I just wished the game was more polished upon release compared to this. The positives really are great though. There are some really fun builds to play around with and the DRG combat system really shines with it. The added upgrades from the devs compared to released really did help with making builds feel more impactful and fun. The game can feel challenging but without feeling totally unfair. The music, voicelines, and enemy design really feel fresh compared to the glyphids. I'm putting a lot of trust and respect upon the devs to add more content and replayability to this game in the coming months. Again, I see potential with this game but I really wish that it was released later with more content and unlocks. After about 20-30 hours, it feels like everything is unlocked for the most part. The thing that brings me back again and again to DRG as a whole is the amount of unlocks/customization the game brings, I'll sadly have to say that I'll put this game on standby until there are more updates and more content.
The love I have for deep rock galactic games is immeasurable
