For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Recommended after six hours. The game stands out with unique story and art style. The core experience is enjoyable and controller support is generally good, though inconsistent in a few places. I encountered a handful of small bugs, but nothing game-breaking. My main criticism is usability. Some side quests are difficult to follow, and the game could communicate objectives and interactions more clearly. Despite those rough edges, it is a creative and worthwhile experience.

Most fun you can have with a deck of cards
Just finished the first playthrough. My game of the year so far! Positive: - Story: amazing toward the end, good build-up - Deck building: especially strong toward the end, many synergies to explore and exploit - Exploration/quests: the four regions are very varied, the quests are interesting and diverse (but few) Neutral: - Balancing: bosses are a bit too easy. Normal fights are hard at the start of each region, but get trivial when a region is almost completed - Graphics: strong pixel art style, maybe not for everybody Negative: - Mid-game some grinding to get all cards - Some say, the deck building is too limited. I enjoyed the newness of each region and card set.
Great grid-based tactical deckbuilder that overstays its welcome a little bit. Death Howl is a 7x7 tactical combat deckbuilder that doesn't invent anything but puts it in a fun package. It's especially fun if you like the progression of a deckbuilder, that is getting new cards and incrementally building up a stronger and more synergetic deck. The game has you going through 4 biomes, each with its own card set that you craft from scratch and replace the weak base cards. This means you get the discovery phase to mastery experience 4 times. The game is also neatly tuned so you have finished the deck by the same time as you've finished the side and main quests in a biome. If the idea of resetting multiple times is intriguing, then it is probably the right fit for you. Each encounter is designed, and most feel different. The card synergies and interactions go deeper than it initially suggests and there is enough fun there to cover ~3 hours per biome. However, there is a soulslike element with dropping currency if you die and encounters respawning on resting at checkpoints (not death). I'd say the respawning is the worst design choice of the game and it would have been a lot more interesting if you only faced each encounter once, but it doesn't significantly hurt the game. Some reviewers have called it out for being grindy, but I found it just right to find and complete all side quests with as few rests as possible - I rarely had to do an encounter more than twice. My biggest con: for a game where they obviously want players to swap between decks - why are totems (passives) not saved as part of the deck when they are critical to the deck building? Probably the most baffling lacking feature, and it made me not explore deck building beyond my core decks since it was so tedious to manually remember and shuffle them around each time. I also felt like the game ran a bit too long, it comes down to the encounter respawn and that the final act was just a long gauntlet of fights when you have the decks finished.
