About

From the creative director of Eternal Darkness and Legacy of Kain, Denis Dyack returns once more, only this time with a small indie team of fewer than 10 developers.

Early Access players are supporting a small indie team building Deadhaus Sonata directly with the community.
Your $19.99 contribution helps fund ongoing development, including new classes, expanded systems, content updates, optimization, and future improvements.

Games shouldn’t vanish. Worlds shouldn’t die. Players shouldn’t lose what they’ve built.
We believe the future belongs to living games. Worlds that persist, evolve, and stay in the hands of the players who shape them. POWERED BY THE NEW ETERNITY ENGINE, Deadhaus Sonata is designed to endure, a foundation that supports long-term evolution, player-driven content, and a future where the game doesn’t disappear, it grows.
Something new is coming… and it changes what it means for a game to last.

Become the undead and step into the iconic role of the Vampire. Feed on the living to grow stronger, unlock supernatural abilities, and evolve through a progression path built around dominance and mastery. Other undead forms wait in the dark, ready to be revealed.

Explore a land shattered by divine war and corruption. Malorum is filled with haunted fortresses, forgotten kingdoms, and ruins shaped by ancient history. Every discovery reveals new layers of lore where nothing is ever as it first appears.

Harness supernatural mobility, strike with precision, and unleash abilities that reward timing, positioning, and clever decision-making. Your undead form is your greatest weapon, and more forms will emerge as your power grows.

Deadhaus Sonata features a tarot-based skill system where every card represents arcane power shaped by Malorum’s forgotten history. Cards are earned through quests, battles, and exploration, and each one unlocks new abilities that can be mixed, matched, and upgraded.
Build for precision, raw power, mobility, tanking, or supernatural control. The tarot system gives you endless ways to refine your build and unleash devastating forces against the living.

Loot in Deadhaus Sonata is earned through feats that track your actions, history, and performance, not random drops. Every item is shaped by what you do.
Gear, artifacts, legendary items, and tarot cards all tie into Malorum’s supernatural and political history. Playing is crafting, and your past becomes a resource that influences your future.

Deadhaus Sonata is a story-driven experience, featuring more than 15 hours of professionally voiced narration.
Created by Denis Dyack, known for his work on Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem, Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain, and Too Human, Deadhaus Sonata is a new dark fantasy world shaped by psychological depth, interconnected lore, and player-driven consequence. Every choice leaves a mark on your character and the world around you, with sentient gear, persistent events, and outcomes shaped by time, place, and action.

Strong Potential – A Unique Dark Fantasy ARPG Worth Following I picked up Deadhaus Sonata in Early Access and have been impressed by its ambitious vision and atmospheric world. As a fan of narrative-driven games and dark fantasy, I really enjoyed the rich lore delivered through the voiced Chronicles and the sense of building your own legend as an undead Harbinger. The feeding mechanics, blood abilities, and progression systems feel fresh, while the Tarot/Inscription features add a fun layer of customization and replayability. Co-op support up to six players shows clear promise, and the gothic setting with its interconnected story threads creates a compelling atmosphere that keeps me coming back. Coming from a small indie team led by Denis Dyack, the game has that classic Legacy of Kain spirit with modern twists. There are some performance and polish issues typical of Early Access, but the core experience is enjoyable and the roadmap looks very promising with new classes and content on the way. If you appreciate deep world-building, player choice, and supporting passionate developers, I recommend giving it a try. The foundation is solid, and I’m excited to see how the game evolves. The dead rise — and this could become something special.

I really enjoy this game and it reminds me of Blood Omen. It definitely has some bugs but what early access game doesn't? I've started listening to the lore on spotify that they've made for the game and I like it also. If you like games that have deep lore then you'll probably like this game. I hope they finish the game because it has great potential in my opinion. I will be playing this a lot as more content is released
Thank you guys for working with Regiment to give this game for free to veterans. There's no free lunch, so thank you Regiment for footing the bill and supporting these guys. Review: This is the Legacy of Kain. It's very EA right now but they're very overtly trying to make this a 3d Blood Omen. From what is there, it seems like they can make a good a faithful game in the spirit of Blood Omen but it's very early so do not buy unless you want to support the game. If you're a veteran, look into Regiment, join the discord, and apply for this game on their website to support the devs.
Deadhaus Sonata is a really interesting undead ARPG with a ton of potential, but it’s definitely still rough around the edges. The world and lore are super intriguing, and my absolute favorite part is the Chronicles — the little audio‑book style lore drops. They’re incredibly well done and honestly one of the highlights of the whole experience for me. The combat, though, feels clunky and very simple right now. It works, but it doesn’t feel smooth or satisfying yet. The camera angles also need work, especially during fights or tighter spaces — it can get in the way more than it helps. Even with those issues, I still had fun. The foundation is solid, the atmosphere is great, and the lore delivery through the Chronicles is fantastic. It’s a game that clearly needs more development time, but the potential is absolutely there. I’m excited to see how it grows
What a SUPERB game, LETS GO!!
Modernes WoW in schlecht ? * Sounds? grauenhaft * Animationen? Welche Animationen?
This has got some insane potential, can't wait 'till it's finished!!! [I Dream of Indie Games] Deadhaus Sonata Early Access Review - Legacy of Pain https://youtu.be/aCS6a3muVBs [Saretz] I Played a Preview Version of Deadhaus Sonata's EA: Let Me Tell You About It! https://youtu.be/ECADUQmmqbo
Finally got to the game. Then there a damn lunar calendar puzzle. Combat and overall game play is that of is of an alpha I got this for the Legacy of Kane nostalgia, but its no where near ready yet. Thumbs down.
Just early access but already having fun! This game is rich in lore, the graphics are bold and beautiful, and I like the mix of mental challenges and plain ole butt kicking. The Devs are great about commo and are listening to players while fine-tuning. Even if you're not super into vampires or fantasy, check it out: I'm glad I did, definitely recommend!
